Even I am looking for EV two wheeler.. with below requirements
1. Comfortable ride…(telescopic suspension and min of 10 inch wheels)
2. removable battery for charging(I stay in apartment and don’t want headache of charging…better if I can remove the batteries and charge at Home)
Had my mind on electric two wheelers long back.
Ather 450x is awesome, but pricey and range is less on all EVs.
Will wait another 5 years for prices to come down and with better range.
Please find my observations,please do your own homework before investing in electric bike.
I researched from November 2019 till March 2020. Came to know other brands like Okinawa , UV and Revolt.
There are two types of electric vehicles.
Moped : 95 % of existing vehicles falls under this category. Brands : Ather, Bajaj, Okinawa,Hero,..etc
Bike : Very few exists in market : Brands : UV , Revolt
Choice 1 : Okinawa i Praise + or ipaise pro : Best in segment : All family members can be used. License required.
Choice 2 : Ather 450X : No PAN India presence – I feel the build quality and material is below Okinawa. But it comes better in technology features and support.
Choice 3 : Revolt RV 400 : Can be considered if you are bike enthusiast and prefer to ride alone or with friend. No female driven friendly and it is not comfortable for women
Choice 4 : Hero Optima : Very strong presence across India : Low mileage
Awaiting for UV brand Bike for handson.
Points to be considered while buying.
1: Go for latest battery technology.
2: Fast charging
3: Battery can be charged at your home / office workstation / ..etc, It should be carried like a trolley bag.
4: Charging cycles : Most important feature which impacts on battery life.
5: Near by service center & Road side assistance for first two years.
6: Driving range
7: Maximum weight capacity.
8: Charging time
9: GPS and Mobile app connectivity.
10: Road conditions – It impacts on spare parts replacement.
11: Not much difference for having modes in bikes – City – Eco – Sport.
Cons with Ebikes
1: No resale & Hard to find the buyers.
2: Battery costs are high.
Conclusion : If you ride around 40 kms / day – i suggest you to go for any electric bike , upon your research on above models.
For few bikes, there was Government subsidy till 15000, dont forget to ask for subsidy while booking the ebike.

Revolt support remove battery… carry .. charge at home n put back in bike support.
May be they are good within city limits…Outsation journeys will be hell
Point 6 : Driving range will come into the picture.
Outstation journeys can be done using these bikes. But be careful about the condition of the roads and Bike.
