I am looking to upgrade my current K20 Pro to a Flagship Phone in the Upcoming Sale.

My requirements are  -

1. Flagship with Snap 888/Gen1, 8/128GB Config.

2. Usage - Normal Usage, Zero Gaming, Multimedia Consumption. Super Fast Phone.

3. Camera - No special requirements as I hardly take photos. A decent Camera would do.

4. Charging - Super fast Charging like 120W, Battery - 4500-5000mah.

5. Connectivity - NFC and 5G

6. Pricing - 25-35k. I recently missed Xiaomi 11T Pro and similar nice deals.

Shortlist - Xiaomi 11T Pro, Iqoo 9/9T.

CPU performance wise SD888 is hardly any better than SD870 due to pretty severe thermal throttling.

Don't do it. Wait for 8+ Gen 1 or Gen 2. The 888/8 Gen 1 suffer from bad battery drain and overheating, thanks to Samsung's bad 4nm chip fab. The plus or next-gen SoC will give you free battery life if you just wait a few months.

Iqoo neo 6. It's allrounder phone with much better camera setup.

Iqoo 9T has 8+ Gen 1. Is it a good choice. Also the problems you mentioned about battery overheating and draining is prevalent only for Gaming and heavy users or even for normal usage ?

Iqoo's software is a bit rough, but if you don't care about that, the hardware is good value. The 8+Gen1 is like 20-30% more efficient so you'll notice a battery life difference in regular use too. The temperature difference will be less noticeable between the two SoCs during regular use but expect heating even during long navigation, high brightness, etc with the older one.

8+ Gen1 is projected as a better chip overall compared to 8 Gen 1. Do consider this point in your search as sharpen suggested.

Iqoo has been delivering classic phones off-late, i think u should prefer them over Xiaomi 11t pro

@sharpen @SuperKnight @santosh_blr How is Iqoo 9t compared to the recently launched Motorola Edge Ultra. I'm predicting sale price of Iqoo at 40k and Motorola at 50k if both give bank discount on top of Sale price. Please advice. My requirement is in the post above.

I would prefer MOTO for its no nonsense UI (stock android). But u have to shell 10k extra for the same usage (as mentioned in ur first post), so I guess its upto u to decide.

Motorola has much better software (and probably future updates) than Iqoo. I'd pay extra for Moto all else being equal, but it's really personal preference.

Yes, the extra features like 200 MP camera, etc. are not my requirement. The only dealbreaker is the Funtouch OS. I'm not concerned about the Bloatware as it can be removed. I'm concerned about the User Experience. How's it compared to MIUI which I've use for many years and I'm okay if Funtouch is as good as that. I'm told that the negative feedback about Funtouch is blown beyond the proportion. Another option is OnePlus 10T as it has decent OS but again I am more inclined towards Iqoo.

Funtouch OS is much improved when compared to its predecessor. It is very much polished, and apart from bloatwares, the issue is the UI feel itself. Ex - You get widgets tab beside apps when you open the app dock. You will find inconsistency with language within UI, like space, punctuation, etc. It is obviously boring compared to MiUi and Moto's OS, but if you can compromise on these things, you can buy any Iqoo devices. On OnePlus 10T, if you have seen MKBHD's review, he says this device is the most "generic" OnePlus phone, considering it lacks in so many things. I recommend looking carefully at the deals and if Iqoo costs 5-6k more than OnePlus then it doesn't make sense to get Iqoo.

Thanks for the widget example. I can assume how bad it is. Was expecting Iqoo at a good sale price but it's costlier than launch price and other previous normal sale price. Given as you say, OnePlus lacks many things, but does it fulfill my requirements as mentioned above ? I'm also thinking about Motorola Ultra 30 which is 7k costlier than OnePlus and also doesn't have Extra exchange offer like oneplus does, so in total I am losing around 12k if I buy Motorola over oneplus.

Iqoo might come in sale tomorrow or during Diwali, but that's just guessing. Given your requirements, I think OnePlus will be a good choice. Things to note would be average camera, no alert slider, plastic frame, and no E5 amoled panel but you get 10 bit display (comparing few things to Iqoo). More pros and less cons. So these fits your criteria above. You will see 5k exchange bonus and 5k SBI discount, technically there is no GIF sale benefit, but atleast no compromise on discount like Iqoo did since launch.
