I dont know if 6 GB RAM is future proof for the next 2 years of usage.

6 gb is enough
8 GB or 12 GB ram will allow you to open and keep more applications in the background
Even if you are a gamer its not going to make much impact rather than opening a game faster by fraction of a second
If you need a phone for day to day task and yeh it is stock so ram friendly it is
6 gb is fine

But a person like me multi-tasks a lot. Swtiching between work mail, whatsapp, chrome, instagram and twitter. So would prefer more RAM than a hanging experience.
