Planning to buy new car with exchange of old car.

1) Thinking to buy New Wagon R CNG. Anyone using this car , pl let me know how's night driving with this. (I have Zen Estillo above 15 years, which do not give sufficient light at night. Had changed 60w bulb to 100w but not much difference, have to be very careful in night.

2) offer of 35k discount + 20k extra on exchange. My zen Estilo ran less than 70k km in last 15 years. Any suggestions to how much should I negotiate exchange value to?

3)How's Wagon R for long distance (travel in diff states) not more than 10  times a year.

4)Ex showroom price will be same. What other things, we can change to save money? (eg insurance, or on any tax etc).

5)Any issues in Wagon R after few moths to consider?

6)Budget can be further extended of getting better than Wagon R CNG( main requirements are long drive, night driving ease, lowest on maintaince). Any other alternates to consider?

Thanks

2)If anyone using punch, pl share driving experience

3)(have pre-approved car loan offer of 20L.) hypothetical que: If bought car on loan (5 yrs), next year can we take Loan against same car?

CNG implementation of TATA is best in the industry with a single ECU and starting on CNG capabilities.
Whereas Maruti / Hyundai feels like aftermarket jugaad implementation with no boot.

Wagon R CNG is strictly a city car.

1. CNG occupies the boot ..so it's literally non usable

2. Tall body makes it bouncy on highway

3. Provides sufficient space inside for 4 people

4. Low maintenance car...good resell value .

Can consider Altoz CNG... Tata CNG implementation is much better as they provide usable boot plus safe car for Highway

4 ppl, mostly city, city to hometown (200km one way) frequently (3-4 times a month).

Pune to Ooty like distance once a Yr. Diff states (eg 600km) not more than 10 a year.

Budget: 7L to 12L.

Night time from hometown to City, should have excellent focus lights (if additions needed, can do it)

Should not have issues like stop on highways (had faced this issue with old car)

Should be low on maintainance (hv good experience with Maruti for maintainance, plug start even stand for few weeks in parking)

Cng  Milage Should be above 22. ( I fitted non company cng to old car and it gave me over 27 avg. Heard cng Wagon r offers over 30?)

Bootspace - not real issue as most of travels on work purpose. Only few long ones with family, so can manage.

Mostly in city.

Driving style - Safe (If that's what it means. Highways ~100km)

Hatchback. 7L to 12L

50-80km a day (2-4 times a week). Work managed on bike.

Mostly iuse with family members.

No special requirements apart from smooth and safe driving.

Instead of exchange, have you checked the car scraping value?

You can Consider Wagon since you are considering.

But i would suggest TATA  Altroz and since you use it  for family and night driving. its safest car for that budget and NCAP of 5 star. check for high-end variant and you can consider CNG also.

In my city driving style i get FE of 18Km in BLR

1.) for this problem try led bulb next time instead of higher wattage bulb. white led bulb are best

2.) call dealers from all over the country, remember you can buy car anywhere in India and register in your state.

3.) test drive punch & ester too

4.) insurance can be brought online, most quote are 50% of the dealer included price. warranty addon is a must.

Focus on comfort & safety as you gonna use 15years and 15-20k diff in resale value in 15years is not worth it imo. to save 1k every year you'll compromise so much.....

Try automatic version if you gonna drive car in city the most. worth it!

Someone from Maruti showroom offered 30k sad in scrap (just over phone stating car is over 15 yrs). Had fitted cng itself in 30k. Did engine work and changed tyres in not long than 1 year.

I think by scraping you get some kind of certificate which help in saving around 5% overall (my friend saved 1.5L from scraping). I don't think scraping has anything to do with car age.

as per op req... Tata Cars also good option.

Since 200 kms to home town... 3-4 times a month.. best go for 5 star rating cars in safety.. very imp who go for long drive.

I think the policy is already there. (The Vehicle Scrappage Policy, 2021)

The following benefit are there:
    • Avail a discount: After scrapping the vehicle, the owner may receive a 4 to 6% discount on the new vehicle’s cost (ex-showroom).
    • No registration charges: Upon declaring the Certificate of Deposit, the registration fees for the new vehicle are waived.
    • Concession on road tax: State governments may offer a concession on the road tax on the new vehicle. The concession can be up to 25% for non-transport vehicles and 15% for transport vehicles.
    • Discount on a new vehicle: Vehicle manufacturers have been requested to offer a discount of 5% on purchasing a new vehicle against the Certificate of Deposit. This discount is over and above the scrap value, you receive for your vehicle.

If this is true, then user would scrap a maruti alto and should get a huge monetary benefit when purchasing a BMW.
This is not correct as per my understanding.
