Please to not update to this Version WW-16.2017.2007.084 (Android Pie with July security patch). The phone has entered bootloop. It is not powering on. When I try to power it on it gets power off after “Asus” logo. I can’t access recovery mode. But, I can access CSC FASTBOOT mode.

Bhai I had no issues, yesterday I updated to 87 build version. So, you need to reflash the rom

It was working fine for almost a month with the latest update. But the day before yesterday it just switched off automatically with 70% battery and now I am unable to power it on.
I insist every zenfone user to keep a backup of your files.

Did you manually download the 084 update file and then installed that on your phone?

No. It was an OTA update.

So is it working now?

No, the phone is not at all working. Asus max pro m2 is the most affected device. Asus has replaced them even after warranty with someone else device.

Don’t purchase m3. My 6 years old smartphone is still working. I don’t care about software updates which are unstable. How can they even push such updates without testing.

This is heart breaking cry
I think your data should be safe.
Did you go their service center to identify the exact issue?

I wont go to service center without proper confirmation from asus headquarters. I have told them that i wont pay a single penny. I just called the service center and he said that inspection cost Rs500 and they will change motherboard Rs10000 approx.
See this guy had the same problem with M2 https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/21574/st...

Directly changing MB without even checking and knowing the issue. The hardware is totally fine i guess its just the shitty software which was injected in your device which ruined everything.
Have you tweeted or something?
And now how are you go about this one ?
confused

So now downloading and then installing OTA updates are very risky cry

Yes, I have tweeted. No reply. So I chatted with CS on Asus official website, that guy said me to visit service center. So I asked him will I have to pay. He said yes, as the device is out of warranty. So I said I would like to talk to his senior, so he registered my complaint and asked me to wait for 48 hrs.

If it worked fine for a month, the problem cannot appear now because of the update. Could be some other software problem

What’s the battery charging level when you connect to the charger. Make sure battery has not failed. There are reports of max pro m1 battery failures after 2 years

+1 same happening to my zenfone 3 but suddenly, without any update as it is old more than 2.5 years

For my mobile-
charge level shows 0% and in 5 seconds it shows the previous level i.e. 80%
and I can boot my device while it is plugged in, after charger removed, mobile can turnoff anytime
