HDFC Gift Plus Card payment issue PLEASE HELP

I called HDFC suffort they are saying that this card can be used to purchase offline at POS visa counters
but i have purchased this card for online shopping..
Now how do i recover my money ??

hdfc website mentioned that u can use prepaid card as debit card ..so try to choose debit card payment option …i think it will work on online payment..

And you can try adding(not sure will this work or not but no harm in trying) this card to your Paypal account and pay through your PayPal..

^ U can’t make payment to indian merchants via Paypal.

I suggest you to use the HDFC Gift Plus card at the POS Terminals.. such as Big Bazaar, Central or for Petrol

Buy a Amex Prepaid Card if you want for buying online.

Seems like you weren’t aware of the t&c when you bought it.
Ask the cust care whether its possible to return it back and instead buy some other card from hdfc which can be used for online shopping.

If the card can only be accepted at POS terminals, then no use trying paypal

You could also try talking to a friend/relative who has a shop and accepts cards. He may charge your card and pay you cash.

You will lose money as even the shopkeeper will have to pay processing fees of about 2-5%.
Why not speak to HDFC and tell them to cancel their card and refund the money back to your account!

Is there anyway to get money from patrol pumps terminals since patrol surcharge is also 2.5% percent

Well i am sure .. you would be purchasing things offline too.
Ask your friend who wants to purchase anything to purchase it by your card instead of cash.

Try using the card offline or give it to your family to use it

In that case use for offline shopping…groceries from big bazaar etc…

is there gift cards like amex or oxicash are available on bigbazaar outlets ?? please anybody confirm it
