There are like 4 types of usb cable and all of them has side views only instead of front view, so it's difficult to find which one actually matches with mine ☹️

Update - ordered micro USB after pure guess work. So thanks for all your inputs.

Smartphone, costing 10k 5 years ago. I'm not at home town so would be unable to do so. The pictures of usb cable are taken by my mom.

After download your pictures zoomin  and comparing with my old micro USB cables I can confirm it is regular micro USB connector.

If you are looking for new micro USB cables I would recommended going for Boat or Turkzer micro USB charging cables. I've had over 30 micro USB cables in last 6 years. These 2 brands lasted the longest after taking regular use and abuse. Boat gives 2 years warranty anyway.

Ok, ordering one now. Hope it fits.

5 year old phone cable with trapezoid shape is 100% a micro USB data/charging cable.

As for the word 'ordering', i assume you are buying it on-line.

Then i might probably advice otherwise.

‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏

I mean if we look enough, then some friends, family, acquaintance might have a spare one or unused cable lying around.

Or some mobile re0air shop or e-junk graveyard shop might even give one for free.

Not that I am pimping Belkin brand here,

but none of those Amazon has them on sale for 99₹ ..ever lasted long enough.

It almost is like the pin is made of soft metal or very inferior chrome or whatever plating.

It erodes easily and then the pin/projectile simply slips out of the charging port.

‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏

I haf a lot of affection for Bandridge brand too, mostly for their lifetime warranties

but then in launching their stuff in India

THEY were dumb in simply converting the USDollar price to INR by multiplying it with the exchange rate.

That pricing made them unviable.

But for a really 'not in use' phone, spending 100-200₹ on a cable and it failing within 16-17 months. ¯\  (ツ)/¯ i don't know!

If you are confused, you can go to a mobile shop nearby with this cable and buy one from there. That will be easy and fast too.

Last I went to buy a type c usb, thinking online prices and discount are gimmicks. The electronic shop's salesman was charging the mrp rate of boat one i.e 499 while I got it online at 89. The same one and still using it.

I've seen some people esp in Delhi and Mumbai  repeatedly saying they get stuff at 50-90% off at local markets but maybe it's a privilege living in big cities but our offline stores sometimes even charge more then mrps.

Even I had a hard time but looked through samsung site and they said their old phones are micro USB ones. Thus went with that.

At a glance looks like mini HDMI to me. Some old smartphones used to have  a dedicated Mini-HDMI port

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I can see a lot of mixed reviews on all Rs 35-129 usb cables. My first one died after one year, the 2nd one is still working well 2 and a half years later. Both were less than 99, so 3rd one should be ok🤞
