Myself and my wife already have a Floater policy with HDFC Secure.
Please Suggest a Good Policy for my parents who are both 65+.
Good claim Rate, Hassle free claiming and minimum waiting period (If possible) is the preferred option.

what an ABSOLUTELY ridiculous advice, to guide someone to NOT have health insurance in this day and age!

Claim settlement can be and usually is a dicey thing.
But some people prefer not to disclose to the hospitals that they have cover and then hope that hospitals charge reasonably. They then do the claim process.. all by themselves.
I am rather apprehensive of start-ups or businesses that try to bend-over backwards in the initial phases.. because it takes hardly any time to become another PepperTap, Byju.
But someone here claimed that Acco (Acko¿ i do not know the spelling) settled their claim or that of their family rather smoothly, without being fussy about consumables.
Are you okay with PSU health insurers?
New India Assurance is reasonably good, even for older generation.
Do check if your existing relationship with HDFC can be leverage in any way, if you feel to go with HDFC.

I'm generally skeptical of any American health insurance company whose only aim is to drive up profits by refusing claims - and Cigna is one of the pioneers in using AI to reject claims in the US
Full disclaimer - I admit I dont know about this policy personally.

I did a lot of research for my parents at same age group and opted for Star Health Red Carpet plan, The only downside is 30% copay but beats others everywhere including the so-called cap based govt insurance who are on limelight for max amount claim ratio recently.
For full coverage without much capping is Care health but too high premium.
My suggestion is to must keep ayushman vay Vandana card and accordingly plan the health insurance for backup purpose only. No need to spend high unless you want a very high coverage with higher premium.
I have 3 claim experience with star health for parents, you can ask me anything if any doubt.

If they are healthy, then kept aside 4-5L just to be on safe side, when they reach 70, u can opt for ayushman vay vandana card... No need to go for health insurance at this age...
