Minimum 6 gb ram
Storage can be 64 gb also no problem
It should have good 5g processor.
It should have minimum 33 watt charging
It should not be stock android phone like Motorola phones
That's it.

@guest_999 had reported issues with his 6GB Xiaomi device in the past wherein the first app would reload while returning to it after making a UPI payment in a 2nd app IIRC. Stock Android will work just about fine (for now) in the above scenario even with only 4GB RAM. MIUI is likely to be problematic. However no such issue was exhibited in my father's 6GB Redmi Note 10 Pro albeit running A11 based MIUI. A12 was associated with a noticeable increase in RAM usage by the OS & System even in AOSP.
TL;DR: Minimum 6GB RAM is highly recommended in case of devices running MIUI to ensure a smooth multitasking experience.
Edit: @saucap Poco has announced 2 Android OS updates but Redmi hasn't made any such commitment. I think the latter would also match it but it's something to keep in mind. Plus newer Android OS versions might demand a bit more RAM again making the 6GB variant a better buy in terms of future readiness.

Minimum 6 gb and minimum 33 watt charging
I don't care about fast charging. I use a 5W charger in my Poco F4 which comes bundled with a 67W charger.

67 is best
Good for prematurely degrading the battery. Fast charging should be limited to situations where it's really necessary. Otherwise 10W charging is ideal for medium topups. BTW due to higher temps. there's not a whole lot of difference while using a 33W charger vs the 67W at least in F4. I can provide active cooling but still not a big difference.

I am currently using realme narzo 20 pro which having 65 watt charging and no issues. Still excellent battery life.
Nearly 3 years of experience.
I purchased in October 2020.
Now tell me, is your misunderstanding about fast cleared or not?

I keep my devices for several years! 2 Redmi devices nearing 7 years still deliver 7-9 hours SoT.

It's better to sell on olx and get new one always..
We get bored with it.
Still we used lot of years.
Every time main topic gets sidelined
Previously freecharge thread and now this.
No one gives appropriate suggestions
Topic gets stretched towards other discussion only
smz wrote:Is the SOT for original battery ? And bypass charging all these years ?
Yes to both. I had planned to replace the battery in one of the two about 2 years back but without any announcement whatsoever Xiaomi had EOL'ed both some months ago.
P.S. I had examined the output of the uevent file recently and turns out it wasn't true bypass charging at least in case of one of the two. Not that it matters...
Poco x5

How to know Xiaomi EOL for hardware parts online ?
Roughly 3-4 years after release barring a few that didn't sell well in which case Xiaomi pulls the plug sooner. Previously it used to be as long as 5 years. In the last 2 years the pattern seems to be that the specific devices whose spares are significantly discounted during the Xiaomi Summer Service Camp are EOL'ed not long after. Otherwise one comes to know only after calling the customer care. Not infrequently batteries in particular might be available in a few service centers upto 6 months after the device hits EOL status.
Another useful indicator is the software support period which can be checked at the Xiaomi Security Center website. Aftersales service stops not much longer following the end of software support.
