Phone bought on amazon just 2 months ago. Still under warranty. How should i proceed? Should i drectly ask for replacement from Amazon or will they just redirect me to a service centre?

Brands are usually only considerate with replacements with a brand new unit.. if there are major issues with the PCBs/ boards or other major components (like compressors or other major motors in refrigerators, HVAC products), products are DoA (dead on arrival) or if the issue is becoming a P.R. nightmare and the brand is trying to salvage the situation.
Hopefully you are not going to drop it in a bucket of water, after reading the above.
While it might fail some electronic parts and qualify as a device with adequate issues, the devices now-a-days have enough ways to figure out exposure to moisture, liquids.
Also, hopefully you would not get the back panel and battery removed and then put it in an oven for a minute or less.
while that too can cause enough damage to the internals, it is dangerous for the oven and the electrical wiring of the premises.
Such things also go against the terms of warranty and hence avoidable.
Usually the local service centre staff can do something😉 for you. O o.. i meant that they can help raise the request for you to be given a replacement.

Lots of OS bugs and lower standards of device poco is not much a great choice.
In electronics lower the price too many features doesn't means phone will have good quality parts
I was defending it. I still stand by my words. I practice what I preach. I am using poco x6. So far it's amazing. Way better than the contemporary Samsungs in its price range..
My bad for not answering the main concern for this post. Since already it passed more than 10 days of replacement period Amazon will not entertain this. They will suggest to contact poco service centre.
Quickly go and generate a job sheet with pocco/MI service centre and submit the device. You will get a free replacement of screen unless it is damaged.
If you visit early in the morning around 10 o'clock when the service centre opens, within 1 hour of time you will get your phone done if the part is available.
