Guys, I am using Poco X3 which is 5 months old now.
I am facing a wierd problem related to network.
I am getting 4G VoLTE on Jio SIM but getting only 2G on my Airtel SIM although dual 4G VoLTE is enabled in my network settings.
I did some checks and below are observations:
1. Airtel network coverage is very good at my location and getting 4G network in other phones using same Airtel SIM
2. Inserted two Airtel SIMs and both are getting only 2G Network.
3. Inserted two JIO SIMs and both get 4G at the same time.
I have tried swapping SIMs in different slots but it’s not helping.
I want to reach out to other POCO X3 users and want to know if anybody of them is facing similar issue.
Please tag dimers who are currently using POCO X3

Did u tried with different Airtel Sims in that mobile?
If so, all Airtel Sims having problem?
What about only 1 Airtel Sim & other one disabled?
Is your Airtel SIM is 4G?
Yes, I used the same SIM in Redmi Note 5 pro and it’s getting 4G coverage.

Thanks a lot bro
Which miui version are you running, sometimes for latest models it is recommended that you do a system update first to latest miui version(12 based on android 10 with v12.0.7 is the latest stable version I think). Another thing to do is call customer care & tell them about this issue(don’t mention jio etc, just say same sim in new poco x3 not receiving 4g signal while same sim in your older phone receiving 4g signal).

Looks like Poco phones have Compitability issue with airtel network.
My poco m2 also gives some slow speed and have on and off network issues.
I have Poco M2 Pro. I have airtel n Jio, both are running smoothly
Reinstalling the latest update package did not solve the issue. I will call Airtel customer care tomorrow @guest_999 @Mayavi @Bk100
Hi ! Apologies for the inconvenience. I would request you to follow the below steps to get volte service active in your handset.

If still issue persists then please let us know. Thank you,
do this similar problem faced on realme 7…complained on twitter got this response…used this and worked for me
@esakkiraja Also suggested me this solution but it’s not working for me
Airtel is having some issues these days, one of my friend was not able to make calls to some jio mobile phone users. When he went to the airtel store they just switched off the VOLTE setting and asked him to now call the jio users. And this technique worked. They told him that this is due to some technical issue from their end so until it is resolved, he asked him not to put mobile again for the VOLTE call, do the calling without VOLTE.
I just hope they sort this out soon
Looks like this thing is user-specific
and the only way to get VoLTE/Dual-VoLTE working is by raising a complaint with Airtel
Similar issue with Poco X2

PS: Try Disabling/Enabling the carrier check once

If you’ve installed a third party dialer app (Default*) like Truecaller, uninstall it first and then try these codes
The default caller app is Google dialer.
My VoWifi is working fine but when I go outside many times no network and sometimes only 2G
I will try out the codes.
Try changing apn settings to bearing as lte only
Upon selecting only LTE, there is no network @hackerboys
@RunZone disable automatic network selection. It should search and show all the available networks both 2g and 4g, take a screenshot. If you see Airtel 4g select it. Should work. If it shows some sort of error then take a screenshot of that.
@hackerboys @getready @saitama @Total_Fun;
I did a manual search of network, and it is showing Airtel IND 4G but when I am trying to register on it, I am getting some error and registration fails.
Yes, after doing this restart once
KG to all for valuable inputs. I will update the thread if I find some solution
bro do tell me what reply you get from airtel team ,,
as this is very strange case .
It looks like mobile issue only.. when you’re getting 4g signal in another mobile flawlessly from the same location and stucked with this mobile alone means, there should be some software glitch with your phone only.
Or you should have disabled/altered any hidden network settings unknowingly.. !
Try factory reset once before going to service centre.
He’s getting 4g volte with Jio sim with his poco X3
It’s most likely issue with Airtel’s database of Device identifiers ( like IMEI) when you put a sim inside a GSM device it gets it’s device identifiers for various reasons. If for some reason the Telecom operator ( aka cellular carrier) misidentified the device model then you’d face the same thing.
Other major possibility is that op @RunZone doesn’t have a new 4g sim
I think this problem is from airtel side bro, not poco x3…. 2 years back for iphone 5s signals stopped working… I went to service centre, there are so many people with iphone 5s airtel users… Used airtel sim on another ph for 2 days
IMEI.info:
The Structure of an IMEI Number
IMEI numbers either come in a 17 digit or 15 digit sequences of numbers. The IMEI format currently utilized is AA-BBBBBB-CCCCCC-D:
AA: These two digits are for the Reporting Body Identifier, indicating the GSMA approved group that allocated the TAC (Type Allocation Code).
BBBBBB: The remainder of the TAC (FAC)
CCCCCC: Serial sequence of the Model (SNR)
D: Luhn check digit of the entire model or 0 (This is an algorithm that validates the ID number) (CD)
Few months back my airtel 4g sim stopped working even though it was 2 years old.On contacting airtel cc they asked me to get it replaced with some charges. Got it replaced and after that 4 g worked fine. There were many who also failed sim card at that time. Maybe its airtel loot from customer.
same happened to me in Jan first week..
Was this solved? How?
No not yet, Airtel told me to wait till 6th April for resolution
🙄😨I have seen Airtel website of airtel 4G Volte compatible handsets….and it shows no Poco X3 or even no poco x3 pro….so,u must have seen Airtel website before buying phone…These Poco x3 sellers show wrong information regarding support of Airtel 4g volte….In real,it only supports Jio 4G volte and not Airtel 4G volte… Don’t go by advertisement…check Network websites first….😰
It should support as even Poco F1 supports Airtel VoLTE. Although last I checked it was no longer listed.
Xiaomi devices have weird network issues. Not enabling CA is a common issue esp. in mid-rangers. I remember my old Redmi 3s didn’t latch onto Airtel or Vi 4G for months after release. It started working out of the blue sometime later. And Airtel and Vi VoLTE also started working some 2 years after launch! You could try a custom ROM first.
Edit: You could try checking on XDA https://forum.xda-developers.com/c/xiaomi-poco-... or the official TG group https://telegram.me/pocox3globalof...al
Sure bro, I will try these, its my last resort now
Can somebody help me please, im facing the same issue with my new poco x3 pro..
Same here 😟😟
I have not received any resolution from these two companies Airtel and POCO

No brand is consumer-centric these days ( Minus Apple, Samsung )
Once the product is sold, they act like “least bothered” about user-concerns/experience
Select Redmi/Poco devices ( F1, X2, M2 pro ) lost widevine L1 certification post OTA/MIUI update and the issue still remains unresolved in many regions
I have the exact same issue with my poco x3 pro……
Let’s hope xiaomi gives an update to fix this although i am on the latest miui 12.5.3 update
No updates till now bhai, more than 6 months now
