My VI unlimited plan has expired and iam planning to port my vi number to jio, how much amount of recharge should I need do to so that I can able to send the porting sms.

IC SMS almost never stops unless it’s a circle-specific thing. Also you can send PORT SMS from main balance when Vi gives 2/3/7 day packs for free.

VI me to Sim active bhi rhta hai Permanently Deactivate nhi krte
And In Jio They will send final warning one or two days before deactivation and you have to Recharge immediately else Number will be Permanently Deactivated and you can’t Activate same number.

Mujhe lagta hai ki ye soch samajh kr krte hai jis number pe jyada unlimited pack recharge hota hai usi pe krta hai incoming block ( ex- my primary number is vi and it gives only 7days after recharge end and after that no incoming available but in my family sim incoming still active even after 2 months of recharge )

Bhai Main secondary sim jio use karta hu, ek saal ho gaya recharge nahi kiya, abhi bhi incoming calls aur msgs active hai.

At this link, 79, 99, 109, 129 are 4 of the cheapest plans. (validity 21,28,15,18 days resp.)
“No outgoing sms” mentioned with 79, 99, 109 packs
129 pack => not mentioned “No outgoing sms” tag
But then After TRAI ruling almost all operators has implemented port sms sending facility with low value packs too.
I have personally verified this with BSNL 49, Airtel 99, Jio 119
So, if you get confirmation from someone who has verified the same with Vi 79/99/109 pack then choose that pack
Else, choose 129 pack
No need to go for 155 pack.
Also, if you want, you can do MNP by yourself at your home ! And that too at lesser price than store/retailer (1month UL pack+prime free).

I sent the port sms when on 99 pack about a week back, and I received the port code. I don’t remember if it used the primary or secondary balance, but it worked

I had gotten 4 numbers for everyone in my family when the Jio preview offer was on…only i am using one of those sims as my secondary nmber, other 3 sims were inactive since 2-3 years or more……
All of those sims are still working, my mom just started using one of those sims as secondary number…
Also incoming calls and sms are working without any recharge.
My vodafone sim will soon be 20 years old, service is dogshit and they keep sending messages to recharge even after recharging…..they close incoming within 7days of plan expiring

Vi is by far the best in my locality (without band locking Jio and off-late Airtel in particular are quite bad) but seemingly poor almost everywhere else.
