Pre-ordered S22+ on Amazon and they delivered S22 instead. Please help

Dear dimers,

My cousin pre-ordered a S22+ on Amazon but they instead delivered S22. When raised a concern, they reply back saying their records show no issue with the delivery.

He created a post on LinkedIn. Would be glad if you can help amplify it and to get the post more attention.

samsung twitter or samsung service center and then with amazon. If brand respond that this imei belongs to s22 than you can make a strong case.

now your job is easy. go to any service center and obtain in written form that those imei numbers in the invoice are of S22. Post that in the social media team and if that didn’t help then seek the course of consumer court seeking huge compensation.

i really don’t know that bro, but whenever I do unboxing video, I record all 6 sides of parcel (4 sides + down and upside) and that pendrive was shipped in Amazon plastic bag which was shown completely in unboxing video.

same thing happened with me too, I had order 512 GB pendrive but Amazon delivered me 16 gb pendrive, even after providing them unboxing video through mail and tweeter I received same reply from that saying “We have delivered your order in intact condition and no replacement or refund will be provided.” Have lost around 5.6 k

Seller was cloudtail india and order was delivered by Amazon

Did the phone come with the amazon barcode sticker on it? Generally they do. SKU / code on the sticker is their internal product identification code which will be helpful in verifying the product delivered.

Sorry to hear this but this is blatant cheating by Amazon if they dont provide replacement or refund. Now a days their customer care executives have become rude and dont even listen to the customers.

Go on tagging Microsoft higher roles irrespective of deptmnts, tag usa also just for better visibility, ask your colleagues, frnds every one, let them go on tagging in the comments, yoh will get replacement, takes time.

@getready @jitender22 @bohemian I am the cousin of @raghupro who is facing all this issue. I have been in talks with Amazon customer support from morning via phone calls, emails and tweets. From noon all their response is stating that their background check says that they delivered correct product but after that they aren’t responding with anything new even after telling them about the IMEI. In twitter they stopped responding, in phone calls they are saying it’s with Social Media team and only they can give the resolution, in emails they are just responding the same thing which my cousin has earlier posted.

I have raised a complaint in consumer portal (INGRAM), is there anything else that I can do to get a positive resolution?

paji do not open the seal of the phone at any cost.make a video about the whole case show received box from all sides and also the warranty slip etc. and post on social media pages.

how many returns in ur account?paji why they asked for ur id proof in this case?

did u pay thru credit card? if yes then can he raise chargeback? @getready

also, create a post on twitter and tag all major tech bloggers in India. Someone might take it up and give it more exposure.

Raising chargeback will become problematic as amazon delivered the mobile and they think the right product got delivered (This is going to their response when the bank contacts them regarding the dispute*)

Still, get the declaration from service center that this is S22 (based on IMEI on box/invoice) and try to contact amazon again via social team

You can still click the photos of the S22 box with the torn Amazon packing which i guess you may still be having.
And mail these photos along with the IMEI and explain your case in the mail

I have realised that it is S22 only after opening the seal and starting the phone. I failed to notice that I was given a wrong product as I was excited to see my new phone

As @getready said, Before mailing this Jeff team, get the proof in writing or through official communication from samsung that this IMEI belongs to S22 not S22+. Include this and all other proofs and your account details in only one mail.
It takes many days to get their reply, sometimes even more than 20 days. Till then Don’t bombard them with status update enquiries, instead try other ways of solving it.
If resolution is not in your favour, then go in legal way.
If solved, Don’t forget to withdraw your complaints from other portals.
Meanwhile Do not throw away anything including the packing cardboard box, it has logistics info on it.

Be cool. Have patience. Your case is strong as IMEI matches, but takes time.

After multiple emails and calls, I was able to talk to one customer care executive today morning who listened to me but they are denying to give complete support as the case is being handled by Social Media team. She asked me to send the Warranty Slip and IMEI verification snapshot over the same email and she promised that she will follow up with the relevant team. Didn’t get any email response post that.

Worst part of the call is knowing how they confirmed in their investigation earlier that the correct product was delivered. They spoke to delivery executive and as I told him “I got the correct mobile” after opening the carton they assumed that I am lying. Frankly speaking in  the excited state I didn’t notice it was S22 till I booted up the device by then the delivery executive flew away as he was in rush. The worst part is delivery executive denied to give the package without OTP though I insisted him that I will provide OTP only once I open the box. This is the reason why I love Flipkart’s open box delivery for high valued items

I just got a call from Amazon’s CEO team and she told that they will be reopening the investigation and she did listen out to me. Hope it will be resolved. Thanks to all of you
