1)Why are printer costs exorbitantly high compared to recent past ?
2)shall I wait for the prices to drop? Or the pricing trend will continue?
P.s: looking for a multifunction ink tank printer., preferably a WiFi one.. But the prices are high with meagre 5-10% discount on mrp since past 2 mnths!

Epson ones also at premium prices with little discount. Only hp were comparatively less costly but now their prices also gone up
Checked the price of the printer which I bought a year ago. It is now listed at double the price. Ridiculous.
Not worth buying now, if not urgent.
it will keep on increasing in the future.
Pricing has increased due to low production during covid and high shipping freight charges. As the freight goes down, the prices should decrease. Shipping companies have posted bumper profit this year. Search on google
Home printing is costly or economically as compared to cybercafe where they charge 1₹ per print (bnw)?
If you are getting pront outs at ₹1 then probably not worth buying personal if you don’t need prints regularly. At most of the places it costs from ₹3-5
@IndianDimer refer this it might give you more insights:
Thanks kg+. But I’ve already decided about ink tank and preferably WiFi one, only thing wanted to know if there’s a possibility of price drop in near time..
I have canon lbp2900 model. Earlier it was working fine, now all of sudden windows 10 laptop is unable to detect printer. I have tried to install drivers(as provided with CD), but no use. Can someone guide?
Try this, after confirming your printer model is same, it may work. https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_produc...=
