Should hospitals consider below mentioned?

- Patient family members have to sign documents before treatment gets started.
I think, patient (or their relatives) have equal right to have a copy of that particular document.

- Generally, when we talk about treatment under – ICU / Emmergency case / Operation theatre – relatives of patient have to be outside. They are unable to see whats going on inside. On regular intervals hospital request them to deposit X amount for further treatments. Now, considering situation – family members also at times arrange said amount.
So – i think hospitals could provide them live telecast of on going treatments. This is just to avoid anyone to take disAdvantage of someone’s situation. One who is paying must at least know, whats going inside. In todays era, arranging a CCTV in all rooms showing patient is not a big deal.
And this can be done in case of high value treatments.. Where bill amount is in lakhs..
Hospitals can have options to ask customer for additional charge for the same.
This can help patient’s relatives, to see actual condition of patient (24/7)

- I think, one have the right to see expiry date also, of medicines given to patient.

This is invalid as it encroaches patient autonomy and is against Ethics.

Not possible. Patient’s data must not be shared with anyone except the patient without the explicit permission of the patient.

Yes, the person who brings the medicine can see that or the patient can request to see that or can grant permission to show it to his/her relatives.

LOL , another thread not believing doctors / hospitals.

And every hospital provides itemized bill , they even provides estimates before admitting patients .

And if patient / relatives thinks that the hospital is costly … they can always look for another alternatives .

A bad road will cause accident and if doctor not able to save him everyone blames him but no one questions those involved for the accident.

These debates have no end rather India needs improvement in every aspects including medical field smile.
