Query for Buying Samsung S24 Ultra from Amazon
I'm looking to purchase S24 ultra phone. I've checked the prices both online and offline, Amazon is providing the best price at around 98k where as flipkart is giving at 1 lac 6 thousand
From Amazon, I am worried if they are giving pre-activated phone or brand new phone. In the product description it is no where mentioned about it.
Here is the link for the product

Can You Explain?
It is showing currently at 1 lac 22. I guess from app if we buy we'll get at 99k.
How to get at 94k?
(Card rewards neu coins would make the effective cost under 95000.)
@rising_style Wait for Galaxy S25 Ultra😃
Warrenty cannot be claimed in India
Get hold of a corporate account and buy one. Can get for 95K using HDFC card. Listed for 112K - HDFC card discount 12k - 5K additional instant discount.
Check who is the seller before placing the order. Unless it's Amazon fullfilled and a reliable seller, you are most likely to get an imported / pre-activated phone.
Amazon takes full liability or intermediates.
If considering the S24 U, why not save and go for S23 U at 70k? There's very little difference between both devices. Or you could just wait for the S25 U launching on 22nd January next year.
Battery life is beyond usable on S23U ever since March 2024 update for a flagship, add the slow charging to it.
Also, the anti-reflective screen is a great usable feature which is well worth it.
Not to mention the other inherent advantages of better processor, better cameras that are iterative with the new version.
if you have as much h disposable income to splurge four month's salary of an Infosys fresher.. on a single luxury item
AND YET
expressing such doubts.. then (as per me) you ought to be ineligible to even use such a luxury item (much less.. own that item)?
That apart if you do actually have spate hundred thousand and your current main device is out of service.. I am quite certain that for temporary (emergency) use.. you (or your penthouse mates, family/ close ones) would surely have a some spare device.
I do understand how people associate 'lucury' with status, hence not suggesting that you use a normal phone for a few days (till you get your dream purvhase).
Like sone others, I too feel that if one is decided on using luxury devices like this then getting it from freeports (example UAE) is a better option.
Again, my views/ suggestions are based on where you are asking this.
I would not have suggested the Dubai option, if I was sitting across you in your plus mansion with an acre of gardens around ot or in your penthouse in the middle of some upmarket locality.
I gave that Dubai/ U.A.E. option on a forum where people are ready to give an arm and leg.. for a ten rupees cashback offer.,
Amazon has three (or four) types of agreements with sellers.
One is where the seller sends their inventory to the Amazon facility and EVERYTHING thereafter is handled by Amazon (including, sometimes approving returns, refunds as per the authorisation from the seller).
These orders are called 'Amazon fulfilled' orders.
Sometimes, like in case of 'rush' orders or very large furniture or if the seller has an adjacent warehouse (insurance and risk of inventory is co-owned) Amazon may let the seller keep the inventory but picks it up from the seller and thereafter it is managed by Amazon. This too is 'fulfilled by Amazon'.
In some cases, where customer sees 'delivered by Amazon', it is something like an EasyCS and/or an EasyShip order.
Here, the seller authorises Amazon to handle customer service, logistics (and take almost full responsibility) on its behalf.
In ALL these cases, one does not have to approach the seller for remedy.
Nor are these orders eligible for the A2Z guarantee claim (as Amazon is the counterparty).
Lastly there are pure seller fulfilled orders, where EVERYTHING is managed by the seller.
In these cases, A2Z guarantee too is available.
Depending on what type of listing it is, one can get the clarification on the India warranty and the status of the device
IN WRITING, from the seller and/or the Amazon CSD,
prior to placing the order and after the order number is generated.. again seeking that clarity IN WRITING.
That is sufficient guard against received an item that is not sealed or is pre-activated.,
Simbha3 and others suggesting Tata sites .. too seems like a good deal.
