I cant apply for Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card as service is not available in my city.
So I am planning to get it through my cousin which reside in another city where API service is available.
I am prime member on amazon. Can I use my cousin (API credit card) in my account for 5% cashback etc.

yes you can use. but the % cashback depends if account is prime or not. if your cousin is not prime then upgrade by paying 129 & use to get 5% cashback.

12. You earn back 5% or 3% for A.in purchases depending upon the Prime status of A.in account at the time of purchase, through which you applied for the card originally. You cannot shift your card from one A.in account to another, however you can use this card on any other A.in account.
13. If the Amazon.in account through which you apply for your Card account does not have an eligible Prime membership, your Card account will earn 3% Back on Amazon.in. If your Card account is currently earning 3% Back but the associated Amazon.in account has an eligible Prime membership, you will need to confirm your Card account number to Bank customer service and confirm your Card account to earn 5% Back at Amazon.in.
14. Your Card account will no longer earn 5% Back and will earn 3% Back instead, if the Amazon.in account from which you applied for your Card account or the Amazon.in account you confirmed and selected to earn 5% Back:
(i) no longer has an eligible Prime membership;
(ii) no longer has your Card account loaded in that Amazon.in account;
(iii) is closed;
(iv) is used to select a different Card account to earn 5% Back at Amazon.in; or
Whether a purchase earns 3% Back or 5% Back is determined at the time your eligible Amazon.in purchase is made.

Ignore the t&c
card issued Amazon account must be prime for 5% CB else 3% CB.
Doesn’t matter whether u use in another prime or non prime a/c.

After the card is issued and the account is not renewed for prime, how does this cashback work?

At the time of order if ApayICICI issued account is Prime – u get 5% else 3%(order can be from any Amz a/c)
Once I placed order of 17K but forgot to renew my card linked Amazon, immediately after order I purchased prime for the card linked a/c and got 5% CB though to be specific at the time of order CardIssuedAmz was not Prime, became prime after 5mins – myexp
