Will the remaining data be carry forwarded as I have around 45 GB balance? I don't wanna lose the remaining balance data..
Can anyone please clarify?

With VI 459 plan one can get 6GB data. How come you get 45 gb balance?
If you recharge on/before the last date of the data expiry, your remaining data balance gets carry forwarded..
Go ahead with the Rs 949 plan recharge on or before the last day of your existing plan. Your 45GB data will be carried forward. In fact, you will be surprised to know that it will even carry forward with a Rs 99 recharge. With VI, the key is to recharge on or before the last day of your current plan's validity. You forget for one day and everything carried forward from the past is lost.
While on this topic, I would just like to highlight that the Rs 1799 recharge for 365 days is not only Rs 99 cheaper than the Rs 949 for 180 days but also has 5 more days of validity and 1200 extra SMSes.
Vi always carry forward remaining data as long as the next recharge is made within the original validity period. Even the lowest 99 recharge allows carry forward of data.
I think your data will expire as current pack Expire.
Give hotspot to friends or download High Quality movies/series before current pack Expire.
