Recently got a amazon reward for 10% upto Rs.50 on gift cards. The terms and conditions include the following,
“Applicable only when you pay using SVA
Can anyone indicate what exactly is this “SVA

I think SVA is Stored Value Account

“Amazon Pay Balance” means the value in the semi-closed loop pre-paid instrument (including stored value account or gift card) issued by us or a third party which is co-branded with our brand name, to enable customers to utilize such stored value account/ payment instrument to purchase goods and/ or services from: (a) merchants who have a specific contract with us to accept such stored value account/ payment instrument on their website(s)/ online point(s) of presence; and/ or (b) merchants who have specific contracts with payment aggregators/ payment gateways/ digital marketplaces that accept such stored value account/ payment instrument.

That would be the other part of the India specofic Amazon Pay balance apart from “Gifts and Credits”.

@panchabhut you might be required to pay using the ‘Amazon Money’ (Stored Value Account) part of the Amazon Pay balance, to get that 10% cashback.
Although I have a hunch that some overworked person copy-pasted the terms wrongly.
Such offers usually work with Amazon Pay balance as an aggregate.

I think u can’t use the cashback / giftcard while paying. Only amazon money will be used to pay

Might be helpful to dial 180030001571 or specifically get in touch with those teams which are trained on the “Login amd Pay/ Login and Security” skill as they call it.
Basicslly the Amazon Pay India Privated Limited (RBI approved wallet) team.
But in reality, most agents are put into handling contacts from different skills.

So you might want to keep e-mailing or calling them (022-30430101) till 4-5 agents consistently say the same thing and
you get somewhat convinced of the resolution being valid.

Even ECR (executive customer relations) team too now have newbies or agents given just an ego boost (by transferring them to ECR. An agent is usually a @junior position, while team lead, ECR might be manager positions. L3/L4 positions sometimes come with better perks too).

Thus I am not recommending reaching out to ECR for minor things.
(One of our main accounts, which is/was already flagged by https://www.amazon.jobs/en-gb/teams/transaction-risk-management-systems, went further in the red
due to uninterested, hasty (and stupid) ECR agents adding GC or concessions as ‘resolution’ of their pending contacts.
What in reality was needed and expected instead… was for them to help fix ATSPL issues (Delivery associates not reverse picking up items and putting invalid scans. Blaming the customer with false scans like “pickup verification failed”, “customer refused pick-up”).

Unprofessional retards within SNR (escalations/ Search aNd Rescue), ECR issued advance refund, then equal amount goodwill GC after three weeks and again goodwill GC on the item that was not getting picked up by unprofessional ATS vendors.

Once when wr had to specifically make the Amazon Money balance “zero” (reason: we were deleting/removing the phone number from the account and fighting with these fools to shut down the RBI approved wallet account)… unless I am mistaken… we had to place orders for dummy items or dummy orders for legitimate items.
To make the residual “gifts and credits” (gift cards) get fully used up.
Amazpn applies FIFO when aut- selecting (the gift cards to utilise).

then placed real orders with the Amazon “money” (SVA) balance.

But disputing these was easy.
For empty box from real fulfillment centre, the shipping label on the packahe shows the almost nil weight (0.02, 0.10kg or such weights are printed).
Those details (pictures) are enough to get them to apologise, refund and pull the Andon cord.

The F.C. do have their own surveillance footage on the conveyor belts and human packer areas.


For Fulfilled by Amazon (even Cloudtail) orders too, it is easy to spot when the item is actually shipped from the brand’s warehouse or the vendor’s warehouse.

Those packages usually have a proper A4 size printout inside the package (Duplicste copy of invoice for transporter).

Whereas all Amazon FC (Fulfillment Centre) print a stingy small strip on a thermo-electric paper (the kind that fade away with time or get black when introduced to high heat).

My way of connecting to human is,

Update : Purchased Bigbasket GV using Amazon Pay balance and got cashback.
