Question regarding Airtel Fiber vs Jio Fiber

for 6 months Jio Fiber charges 2824.92 (399 (base plan) X 1.18(18% GST) X 6(months)) for 30Mbps plan along with 15 days extra benefit.
Total cost comes down to 2824.92 - 235.41 (Total cost of 1 month/2 i.e. 470.82/2) = 2589.51 rupees
Similarly Airtel Xstreme Fiber charges 3003 for 6 months for 40 Mbps plan.
Total cost comes down to 3003 - 300 (Airtel Axis Card 25% max benefit upto 300) = 2703
Now, I am confused. I have Jio Fiber 30 Mbps plan. Should I jump to Airtel? I have seen @Original bhai's post regarding extra speed boost given in Airtel. Is it true till today?
Jio Fiber's plan is expiring on 13th. I don't need any OTT etc you know. And I heard Airtel's broadband plan is postpaid. Is it true?

I have tried both, Airtel and Jio Fiber. Airtel for 1 month and Jio fiber 5+ month till now. Prabhadevi, Mumbai. (neighbors wifi we pay them 1/4th amount)
As per experience I can say both gives good top speed.
For Jio, it blocks basic sites like githubusercontent, etc etc. (need to use vpn sometime)
Internet down after 2 week interval for 8 hrs minimum, in prime location like Mumbai. Service is degrading day by day.
Jio is budget friendly.
With airtel you can access almost all sites.
Airtel seems more stable. I haven't seen any downtime with airtel.
Actually I made a switch from Jio fiber to Airtel last year, considering the below factors -
1. I am living in a Tier-3 Area so my Airtel fiber connection is prepaid.
2. I used to recharge the 200Mbps pack but Airtel always provides 260+ and sometimes 500+ whereas jio used to provide 94 w.r.t 100mbps plan.
3. Lower ping in online games as compared to jio.
Ex, CS-GO -> 31 - Airtel , 60 - Jio
4. I don't need a jio setup box exclusively since I do already have firetv 4k, so airtel provides Disney+ and Amazon prime ( Rest are xtreme app based) but others we always get free ( Thanks to Dimers).
5. My area is served by LCO, so I used to directly call him in case of such ( But didn't get a chance to complaint yet).
6. I use Axis airtel CC for 300 cb on 1179 pack (200mbps).
7. Downloads with Torrent gives upto 1 Gbps speed depending on seeding.
8. I got a ZTE's Router which I think has more wider range in 5Ghz band than jio routers.

So u r saying u can get 1gbps torrent speed while ur speed is ~250/200 mbps? I thought broadband providers stopped peering in torrents 
Using for past 7 month airtel fibre 40 mbps
Always got 45 plus speed even sometime above 100 mbps
But some time between 6 to 9 pm speed down at 15 to 20mbps
My connection is prepaid
In past 7 month total 3 time down time for almost total 4 hour
It is not affected by storm or heavy rain or wind
My plan 3003 for 6 month paying from amazon wallet so effectively Rs 2853
I had used both.
There will be no problem of speed in fibre connection. But for Airtel, need to make sure line is fibre, not copper.
Downtime is not an issue in both.
I prefer Jio as its prepaid & cheaper.
Can anyone know, how can one change router of Airtel, mine got defunct within 6 months. They have the worst kind of support. Go with jio atleast they will be better in customer support.
I am a user of Jio Fiber since August 2021. Plan - 500mbps
I have never faced any issue nor even outage for Jio Fiber except once when the overhead wire got broke on my terrace, the issue got resolved in 12 hours.

OTT Content for Jio: They give 100rs OTT plan which includes Lionsgate, Universal+, Jio Cinema, Eros Now, ShemarooMe, Alt Balaji
OTT Content for Airtel: They provides OTT Platform on 1000rs plan and above
Latency on online gaming: Airtel is slightly better than Jio as Ping is less in Airtel.
Websites are blocked: Both Jio and Airtel have blocked websites but Jio has some more I think.
I'm Using Airtel Black 1099 Plan, which gives me 200 mbps plan and Any Dth Channels Worth Rs 350

And I'm Paying With Airtel Axis Card and Getting Rs 300 Cashback
Final Cost ~ Rs 1000/Month

For Rs 1000/Month I don't think so there could be anything better 
Need help from dimers in this case, recently I switched to Jio Fiber from Airtel. When I booked Jio Fiber, the installation guy told me that if you'll get 15 days or 1 month extra FREE on recharging a plan 6 months or 12 months, I booked it for 6 months and after the installation was completed they simply denied this offer and they have no idea about this and even customer care, installation guys are not helping. Customer service team replied to me that this offer is currently not in running when you booked Jio Fiber. Now how to claim those 15 days extra after not having any proof?

i want to install jio fiber in south delhi wil i save 209 rs. recharge of my jio mobile ( for my house) after getting landline and 250 rs. recharge of DTH ( after installing pickshow )
guys i am register for airtel fiber after doing all process even after payment. installation engineers come to my address and said here is no airtel fiber available. now i am waiting for cancellation nd refund. how's the process guys help me

Basically the installation charges depend on the type of connection whether it's prepaid or postpaid and not on the plans. The installation charges are free in case of a Postpaid connection and they will also offer a free router.
Will airtel charge me if i want to shift my connection from one room to another room on same floor ?

I also recently switched from Airtel to Jio so that I can try their OTT(599 plan) and also use kodi to watch all live channels(specifically star channels). But, as Kodi addons are not working properly in recent time, I have to stick to 599 plan as I can watch most of TV channels including all OTT contents. So far, i am good with connection and only issue I faced was router related disconnection for 5G band. I will downgrade to lower plan once there is any improvement to Kodi Jio TV addon or my OTT consumption lowers.
I was also thinking to login with friends Jio account in setup box and be on 399 plan. So that I can watch all TV channels and paying less amount. Is that possible in jio setup box as setup box can be used using any internet connection. If anyone tried please let me know.
One more pros with Airtel(was not mentioned) is, we can recharge any other website providing offers than Jio where we need to only recharge in Jio app for that.
Me too faced issue on 5g band. Their routers are trash. But after replacing router 2nd time, it is working fine now. I am on 999 plan
Have used excitel before. Speed is good. If you take 300mps plan. You will get more than 260mbps always on mobile.
Just don't take excitel if they are asking for security deposit.
It has been 90 days already and they have not refunded mu security deposit nor replying on any tickets, email, tweets.

In feb moving to place where both airtel and jio fiber available. Right now using airtrl fiber 40mbps. Quite happy with its performance. Getting 48mbps for 40mbps plan and with few ott apps free with this plan.

Jio fiber is mostly a plain vanilla prepaid (there is post paid option) broadband service provider. With base plan you get the speed of 30 Mbps n that's it.
Doubt - wil jio fiber gives amazon prime free? If free is it only for 1yr or wil be continuous offer every yr?
2nd month of no recharge in my Jio Fiber prepaid connection and today I received a call from Jio CC claiming that 1 month extra will be provided for free if I recharge with any plan. Also received an SMS soon after from Jio but no mention of the offer in it. She couldn't confirm if the offer had any expiry date or not. I was planning to recharge on the 9th when the Tests against Australia start. Any idea if this is a legit offer or not?
I guess right now no offer available for Jio Fiber?
Edit: Received the promo voucher instantly after recharge. Paytm gave 47 cashback (3x50 CB offer) . Any idea about the validity of the voucher as clicking upon it doesn't reveal the necessary detail?
