So I have one Laptops with its screen broken, don’t want to spend a dime for its repair as I am using an external monitor as a primary display.
The laptop doesn’t show bios settings on the external monitor.
So I want to ask, can we still upgrade a Laptop with an SSD without going into BIOS??
Can we do this without any error when Windows boots up or it will come with different options at the start when booting into Windows?
Note: Never upgraded a machine before (except RAM upgrade)

Yes you can without any worry
You mean after copying and replicating Windows partition on SSD, we can boot directly from SSD without any hassle of Windows options coming on the screen while it boots?
Thanks for your help
Use bootable windows USB drive to do fresh installation on SSD and copy data later.
You can keep pressing F8 and then enter other commands in sequence — then your external screen will catch up later.
google for seq of cmds or check on other laptop – cmds differ little from brand to brand
yes . ssd is like simple hdd no use of bios
We don’t have to select the disk from which boot manager will boot?

u hv to fix ssd in place of hdd
and then connect ur hdd in dvd port using caddy

Okay got that, one more question – whats the easy to migrate data(full clone) to SSD?
230 GB Data single partition…
Old laptop with USB 2.0
Will it take a crazy time like 13-16 hours?
One more, can we just clone Windows and deselect video files and other big sized files?
Sorry
