Rant: Induslnd - Worst Bank Ever

I usually don't post rants but this bank is just too much for me.

So I opened their select account (50k min bal) on 19th June in hope of a 0 bal eligibility due to the legend cc I hold but that just turned into a nightmare.

I transferred the 50k but it didn't showed up in application it took 2 weeks & multiple follow ups to get this updated.

Next I got this vkyc message but the agent rejected it. Now they put debit freeze on my account & I was forced to visit the branch to submit the doc which was not nearby.

But nothing happened more follow ups for 2-3 weeks then I got this successfull signature & kyc update message but debit freeze was not removed. Again I had to do follow ups this time I raised it on the twitter, to which this month only the debit freeze was removed & I was able to do the upi txn.

Now the latest thing today I was trying to do the txn on bb using my debit card but txn was failing then I tried on Amazon & swiggy still failing I checked card is active & txn are enabled with sufficient limit.

I contacted the support which said some Ecom txn needs to enabled & will take 3 days what a bs it doesn't make any sense at all.

It's been around 1.5 month now still I am not able to use my account properly, net banking is messy & so many other issues.

My experience was smooth I already had legend cc and opened select acc via online and got kit within a week and link both cc & account within few hrs . finally confirmed 0 mab ...all within a week...

Been using indusind for the past 3 yrs. Have had quite good experience.

Initially had joined for their good FD rates, latter on moved quite a bit of my portfolio to them after satisfactory experience for over a year. 
1+ 4 addon accounts, gave 4 Exclusive DCs.

0 Forex / BB offers / BMS offers etc.. Not complaining. 

Several times had requested RM to visit and collect docs from me and RM did so, even though my branch being over 13Kms away.

Maybe I am lucky, but again good experience.

* A while back got a call from their support saying my card needs to be blocked as their was a pin change request so I confirmed it was me even then he was saying if you don't block & anything happens they won't be responsible.

* There's 2 cards active on my account some "Gold" variant but idk anything about it as per support it's a virtual card but how do I know the details? There's no option in net banking.

* There was some delivery packet which was returned falsely I was just getting messages about it but no delivery attempt. So my debit card delivered to my address but this can't.

You did biggest mistake of your life by opening account in indusind bank. 

There app s@cks. 

I am using 0 balance account which opened because of upstock.

Got credit card with initial limit of 50000 and even after 3 years limit is just 60000.

I got lured by the bb offer. Also 0 AMC debit card & 0 bal account of which I am skeptical now that they will charge me & all I have to do is follow ups 😞

I understand, trust me. It took me multiple calls, escalated emails and visits to 4 different branches in a span of 2 months just to get the KYC done for my relative's Fastag. Their online process wasn't working and I luckily found the only person who has the login rights to the portal in my entire state..even customer care didn't know about him. It then again took me a couple of weeks to get the KYC done again since the dealership put the IndusInd Fastag on my new car.

Their online process is just shit. I had also open a Savings account with them during this process since the bank rep was trying to convince me to get one in March end and I too was kinda okay since their FD rates are the highest. I was unable to set the PIN for my debit card online, and it took me multiple visits to the ATM to finally get it done..even the request to downgrade the account from Privilege to Classic took nearly 3 months to process after multiple submissions.

I've tried to keep this post short, but yes..their online process doesn't work and most of the times, the officials at the branch are left helpless too.

I get the felling bro even I wanted to keep it short but still it got so lengthy. Never had such a banking experience with any bank even the so called worst ones. The branch looked like some corporate office where employees were more like a sales person.

Similar experience. Unable to open digital as I had FD with bank earlier. I was forced to visit branch. I went for select account, they asked for 1 lakh MAB as the branch is a premium one. I agreed but they were not able to proceed. After a month of waiting, I visited again and started with complaint in a loud voice. Banking professional said, I will come to your home. At home, I paid 1lakh and surprisingly they created an exclusive account. Taking a deeper look, they created a new CIF. Now as per branch 2 lakh is MAB for exclusive account which I am not meeting. There is a lot of confusion with penalties. Moreover, was not able to login to my netbanking account. Credit card is attached to different email and I have no clue if I should wait for account variant to get fixed or attach my legend credit card to exclusive account to make it 0 MAB.

Bank representative who created the account is trying to convert it to Select account and now I asked I am using given Exclusive DC and should have accumulated points as well so will I have to pay charges then he has no clue. No clue on points accumulated as well. For every question he is like pl. come to branch and talk to branch manager. The lady (branch manager) doesn't want to open 0 MAB accounts. She just says I am not sure on credit card offer! Simply to lure me to create normal account and have good balance stuck with them.


Now I need to unblock my money as I didn't plan for the process to take more than a week. sad

22 July ko online account open Kiya tha tab vkyc reject kr diya  tha online .  Nxt day account freeze Kiya hai aur branch me vkyc Kiya ab Tak koi reply update nahi joy joy joy joy kaha me octane se delite dc ke chakkar me ye c*** bank me account open kra Diya .

Lucky you. Btw where you linked you cc? In net banking? I did the same but unable to link my savings account to my existing cc mobile banking account.

Also how did you confirmed the 0 mab??

I have IndusInd Exclusive account since 2 years and never faced an issue. everything is smooth. never had to contact customer care even once. With Pinnacle CC, Exclusive account is 0 balance (though I maintain 2 lakh anyways)

I have upgraded my delite account to select same legend credit card 0 bal facility and it upgraded thru call but after 15 days my account vanished from net banking and debit card Details not showing in app gold and signature both i contacted on Twitter but issue not resolved tried raising issue thru in app request section but nothing happened iam able to perform transactions even my DC also working but not showing in app and net banking 😂😂

Only F bank where I pay money for keeping my money. Created an account to diversify savings, even when I have balance in sav+fd, they deducted 250+gst two times for not transacting in last 3 months. Out of all those banks I use only this bank in India has deducted money mentioning "Inactivity charge last qtr" 313rs

Must link legend cc with bank acc amd get confirmation over mail if its ltf 0 balance acc. And you can generate 3 dc from indus app.. signature master and plat.. if one of them you have them req for other 2..

I have linked cc in my savings account net banking but can't link saving account in indus app with cc.

I have 2 cards 1 is select other is gold which is virtual card as per many.

Main inko rbi tak pahucha chuka hu.. at start ofy process i also faced many issue.. like account isnt 0 balance.. qnd they don't know abt legend cc criteria etc.. bamboo ke baad ghar akar signature etc le gaye..3 din me acc readdy..

I faced a similar issue with IndusInd bank after opening a Select savings account except the DC not working part. The onboarding to select savings account was not that smooth. In summary, I have to wait nearly for a month to get my welcome kit including a dc and removing of the debit freeze. I thought my 1L got stuck somehow but everything was resolved after an enquiry by visiting a branch.

I opened a select savings account from a branch with an initial deposit of 1L+ and after a few weeks they debit freezed my account for 3 weeks and did not deliver the welcome kit including select dc. After 3 weeks I revisited the branch for an enquiry and my RM assured me that everything would be resolved by the next week, I waited and it happened. They have generated a welcome kit request and removed the debit freeze. Then I linked my Legend cc to select savings account and sent an email to customer care for the Zero MAB account confirmation. After three days, I got the confirmation and requested 2 more dc (world mc and platinum) from app. Now everything is smooth with IndusInd bank.

every bank sucks in this uncontrolled environment better to go with banks like sbi icici , they are also bad but better than others axis and hdfc also good followed by these dont go for small banks and even if does dont transfer heavy amounts, only use for offers

Their one of the worst bank ever agreed on that I had being using their cc and was offered a upgrade which I accepted and due to some payment issues I asked to cancel the upgrade and said will do it in a month but wola the card was printed on the same day and I got connected again by their agent for why I'm not upgrading and said so ur not having sufficient bal. To upgrade your card wtf is this how you treat your cust. ? I humbling said yes I don't happy and next day my ongoing card limit was reduced by more than 70% and was under less than 45k wow and later when I asked why the limit decreased while other bank cc are offering limit enhancement no proper response I asked for card closure and was told our retention team will call and after a week they deactivated the card without any updated it came to light when I contacted their cust care team pathetic banking services for sure.

Yes, their app and website sucks.

- Many transactions get credited later than they should. My MF investment was delayed by 1 day and ultimately lost the price i would have got the previous day.

- My card was also blocked for online transactions but showed as active. Had to get a new card, but got the same issue. Then because I was eligible, i got my account upgraded and then the issue was finally resolved in the new variant.

- I am not able to apply for a credit card since last 1 year, because of some bug on their website.

- My relationship manager stopped answering to my messages, and only called when they had to offer some scheme or something.

Finally, I have now shifted my primary account to another bank.

The reputed banks like SBI and Kotak have a large user base for a reason. Think twice before you put your hard earned money in any non renowned bank just for lucrative offers.

I have Citibank credit card (now Axis Bank) using since 2014. Since 10 years credit limit was increased only once. Pathetic. Never missed even a single payment. Requested to close the card also but they are always convincing not to close & assuring to increase limit.

Update: The ticket I raised for the debit card txn not going through just now got closed. But the transaction are still failing 😐😐

Worst bank opened an account debit freeze on account visited two times with complain they told me debit freeze will remove 6 months has passed nothing happened bakwaas stay away from this bank

If we have indusind legend cc, then direct option of zero balance saving account is shown or initially we have to deposit 50k and then it is converted to zero balance account?

No direct option. You have to deposit 50k and open account. If you open at branch instead of online, they'll ask for 1 lakh initial deposit (depending on location) but account opening is a lot quicker. After account is open and you activate app/netbanking, you can link cc which'll make it zero balance.

I have zero balance account with Indusind bank.. they have few good features like you do not need to remember your account number it is 15+your Mobile number.

For my family member I was able to open zero balance account from rural area easily.

It is nationalised bank it should have done better in your case.
