What if RBI ends Lifetime free cards and does not allow LTF.
Most of us end up with 1 or 2 paid cards. DD, TechnoFino cease to exist.
I heard that HDFC bank RM lied to a customer that RBI stopped LTF cards 😂

RBI can direct banks also ban them from issuing any cards e.g HDFC until recently, Kotak, Federal Scapia..etc

This is not same as banning LTF cards altogether. The banks which were not following guidelines were stopped from onboarding new customers. LTF cards are not a violation of RBI guidelines, banks are free to do their business within the guidelines but even if hypothetically such situation exists then banks will simply provide gift vouchers or some extra cashback equivalent to fee and problem is solved.
