Real karma while enjoying crazy deals :: Please read
From many days this idea was bugging my head. Finally thought of sharing with all of you.
This idea might be shared previously by one else, if so, please provide the link.
Idea :
Many times we get some crazy deals (Not using loot purposely) on DD. We enjoy those deal, sometimes by putting multiple orders, sometimes even if we don’t need those items.
My idea is, can we create one a special fund/place where we can deliver any crazy deal (after placing for our own) which further will be donated.
For example, let’s say, we got one good deal for stationary, so we can donate such item to underprivileged students or orphanage home.
So, all the dimers who want to donate can place orders and give the delivery address of, let’s say DD office. Once some respectable items received, DD can work with local NGOs or on self can distribute these items to underprivileged or needy once.
Items can be anything like, School stationary, Grocery items, raincoats, umbrella, books, notebooks, dress, shoes etc.
Process:
So, I think of below process :
1. We will have a fix Thread/form on DD which anyone who wants to donate can fill and give the details, like, order number, Item etc.
2. DD (using DD for example) will accept to those and will distribute further.
I am not sure/aware of any tax/law related things around this. DD official can put more light.
Please share your thoughts.

Good idea.
But new problems will arise in reality.
For example: Flipkart and Amazon ai systems track many factors to decide fake multiple accounts, of which address is also one of the factor. Huge number of deliveries to one particular address from many accounts will lead to genuine account suspensions.

Don’t know about Flipkart but on Amazon; there is always a wishlist of verified NGOs & Organisation like that. Just Pay for what they need and Amazon will take care of deliveries and all.

Hmm.. There should be an SME protection layer. If the organisation is new and has a bug in its shopping site then interest of that organization should be protected. Many organisations go out of business because of such things and India will grow iff those organisations grow. Targeted customers don’t get those offers. Basically people should be shedding the quality of thievery in the first place. That’s a personal opinion only. 🙂

Agree!, That is why, instead of using word “Loot” I am using “Crazy Deal”. Sometimes we get these additional benefits that we can share with underprivileged or needy once.

✝️ Karma given for noble and very innovative thought.
As with most ideas in India, this needs proper execution. It may be difficult to implement as of now as @ULYSSES mentioned and I have no workaround but hope someone can come up with an elegant solution soon
