received call to recharge

Today jio care called on non active no & asked to recharge immediately to avoid disconnection as it’s close to 90 days of last recharge. Anyone jio nos closed due to no recharges recently ?

I have got several times calls from jio asking me to recharge number. Just ignore their fake warnings. Nothing gonna happen. If you think number is important & might be deactivated for non recharges for long time. Just top that number with 10rs to avoid disconnection.

Never got any such calls from them although many times 90 days passed or much more than that technically they are right but it rarely happens unless sim is very inactive.
Nothing to worry but as said if no. is important or in general do small recharges once in while it’s much better than paying ₹40-₹50 per month in airtel just for incoming service.

sirg isnt minimum value needs to be rs. 20+ in main balance? + @Ash-D

It’s a minimum of 79 now. 49 seems to be totally discontinue whereas 45 randomly works for some users.
Vi is much more generous for now. In some nos. OG (other than SMS off late) continues to work without any recharge for years. In some only IC works. In one no. only IC SMS works! Besides Vi keeps activating 7 days data pack for free once or twice a month which enables OG service. Occasionally even a 28 day pack. Airtel as usual is the worst.

Yes. But syed 786? had his 1.6k balance forfeited IIRC due to non-usage?

Even I got these warnings. Plus I spoke to one executive and told him I’ll recharge within a week. After a week I got another call asking if I’m going to recharge and that the number is still active because I asked for one week period.
Are these real? Number is important to me.

Yes it is.
“As per government regulations, for connections without any usage (voice/video calls, Outgoing SMS, internet usage, VAS purchases with balance) for 90 days, following actions are liable to be performed by RJIL: 1) For subscribers with less than Rs. 20 balance, all services will be deactivated pending payment of Reactivation fee for a period of 15 days. Number will be disconnected on non-payment of said Fee within this period. 2) For subscribers with more than Rs. 20 balance, Automatic Number Retention Scheme will be put into effect- Rs. 20 will be deducted and services will continue for 30 days. If there is no usage till the end of this period a) or b) may come into effect, depending on balance”

Still shows 49 plan in Delhi Ncr circle for both Airtel and Vi maybe closed in some areas.
Yes for vi Incoming is working for me also even after expiry.

Once I mentioned before.
They call like this and in my circle when you still don’t recharge they do recharge or activate some pack to avoid churn.
The sales managers have huge pressure from top management to avoid number churns strictly.
