Received Expired Product from Swiggy Instamart

I recently had a concerning experience with Swiggy Instamart and would like to hear your advice.
Hereâs what happened:
I placed an order for some foodstuffs, and when they arrived, I found that one of the sweet box was already expired. Unfortunately, I had already eaten some before I noticed.
I contacted Swiggy Instamartâs customer support, but their response was disappointingâthey simply apologized and refused to offer a refund or replacement, stating they couldn't process such requests.
My Concerns:
- Health Risk: Eating expired food could be harmful. Who is responsible if I get sick?
- Negligence: How could they deliver expired items, donât they have any checks in place?
- Accountability: Their refusal to help makes me question their commitment to customer safety and satisfaction.
My Ask:
- Has anyone else had a similar experience with Swiggy Instamart or other platforms?
- What did you do, and how was the issue resolved?
- Should I escalate this to regulatory bodies, social media, or consumer forums?
Iâm thinking about taking further action and would appreciate any advice on how to handle this.

My food order was delayed by double the expected time on raising complaint on chat they sent the message that refund has been issued and check order details for status but no refund received.Â
I have sent email but no response even after 2 days only they sent email that a specialist team would look into this and revert back in 24 hoursÂ
Post on twitter tagging Swiggy support and ceo. They will refund the amount most probably
Looks like only instamart doesn't deliver to my pincode but all else biggies... good for us!

I was regularly buying milk from instamart till a few months ago. But then they started sending spoiled/expired milk.
I got refund a couple of times. Even after the refund I was still losing on delivery /handling charges.
Later they denied refund for the same issue so I stopped buying from them.
I have experienced this twice, specifically when food items are on discount at 80% or above, then the items are near to expiry or already expired. No benifit fighting with agent's.
There store house are dirty and not upkeep and no measures to preserve and store food products as per standard. They just push products
