Ordered deal of the day product. Showing mfg Aug 2019,expiry jul 2021.
Seems like they are shipping off unsold products at deep discounts.
Should i complain and ask for a replacement?

Yea but 75% shelf life is gone na 🙁
near expiry means end of this month!
I was saying in reference to mfg date
You don’t get great discounts on fresh items.
@adrishya I am guessing you bought this product from Amazon since you haven’t mentioned that. In amazon, the best before or the expiry date is mentioned in the product description. e.g. for this product https://www.amazon.in/WOW-Vinegar-Sulphate-Para..., the date is mentioned as “Best Before: 30 Sep 2022”
What was the date mentioned for the deal of the day product that you bought at the time of purchase?
Ussko taaza chahiye, ek dum taaza 75% discount pe…
Everyone want freshly minted items , what to do with those items nearing expiry date ?
When you go to shoppersstop and pantaloons, you get discounted items and “fresh stock” with no discount. discount is generally on old stock only. they also mention no return/no refund and people still buy. when you go to vegetable markets, same thing happens, fresh ones fetch higher price.
you paid less and got older stock but stock that is still valid for more than 6 months. you got what you paid for. if you want fresh stock, pay full price and buy one.
Have you ever purchased from Mamaearth during their OMG sale i.e. the sale where they literally give “buy 1 get 1 free” product? I have bought items from them many times during such sales and have never received a product that is more than 3-4 months old than the purchase date. They are giving a 100% discount here but still giving a product from the latest stock.
I believe it all depends on the company and its outlook and strategies. If this so-called WoW Science would have clearly mentioned the best before/expiry date of the product on their website, then it would have been a more fair move from them. Hiding such important information from a product being sold online and that has a certain shelf life is not a good trait. I like that Amazon has started following this practice on their products where they mention the expiry date or the best before date in the product description. So you know exactly the kind of stock you are buying.
Same thing happened with me. I want to go to consumer Court as I have bought 4 same products.
7 months isn’t near expiry bro
