Yesterday at 8.35 pm Amazon pay balance debited 4 times with diff. amount total amounting to 3600/-.
immediately called Amazon & call was transferred to Fraud Detection team.
After verification Pay balance was de activated immediately. Team informed me it was a electricity bill payment.
Also they gave complaint no & told that we will be updating you by mail in 12 hrs.
Recd a mail at 9.45 pm that your security is compromised & you need to to set up new password & all transactions done ny other party is cancelled.
Pay balance will be reinstated within 2 to 4 working days.
issue was taken by Amazon on highest priority & solved very amicably.
Moral of the Story, ; Trust Amazon & report fraudulent transaction as soon as Possible. Also set up secondary authentication via otp to enhance security in accounts.

2fa by default should be enabled for Amazon accounts just like Paytm.
I m hoping Walmart to give Amazon some competition.
