He said , he will charge 3-3.5k for simmtronix ssd 500gb with installation and windows.
I asked about crucial he said all are same and every brand offers 2-3 years warranty, i said crucial gives 5 year.
He said , jo available hogi lga denge (par shayad uske pass simmtronix he hai).
I asked ,what if i bring my own ssd crucial then how much will be the charges, he said laptop pura kholna padega so 1k he will charge.
Now m left with few queries:
1- if i purchase my own ssd it will cost me around 2800 online + installation 1k costs me total 4k (round figure) for 500gb.
2- if i go with him, he will take 3-3.5k and install simmtronix(no reviews so far).
3- buy online and try to self install(risky but eill save some bucks).
What are your views on this?

How about kingston , is it better thay crucial?
When did you bought your laptop?
In 2017 , but usage kam thi and mostly 2022 mai he use hua hai
Ssd installation is easy. Search on youtube for tutorial to install on your laptop.
Plus buy https://amzn.eu/d/j...gg this to use your current hard disk in cd slot as extra storage. As for ssd, you can buy kingston or crucial or wd whichever is cheaper, they will all work the same and no issues in any of them. Dm if you need more help. Ps - 3.3k is not that high for the convince you will be getting, because replace krna, windows install karna vagera ka jhanjhat sab nahi lena prefer krte. But make sure he is installing a trusted brand ssd
which ssd u are planning to buy 2.5'' Sata or m.2 ?
Opening laptop is not so complicated specially some model's/brands makes swapping of rams/hdd super easy.
If there's a dvd drive there I guess you can leave your hdd in there & install a ssd in caddy yourself.
They're having a reasonable price. One year before, when I asked a local shopkeeper in the computer market, he is asking 4k for the installation 240 GB WD Green SSD and caddy with Windows and software. I'm still searching for a good deal on SSDs to install it myself, last time I booked 1 TB Crucial MX500 for 3.5k but it got cancelled.
Anyone having hsbc cc?
Do it yourself. It's very easy. Buy Crucial BX 500 or MX 500. They are one of the best in market. Go to onlyssd, mdcomputers, vishal peripherals or you can go to pcpricetracker to compare price from all websites. All SSDs are not same. Some brands are bettter. I recommend Samsung or Crucial. Â
Go with 3 if you want to save money. It's not that hard to replace hdd with SSD if you know what you're doing.
Depends on the laptop as well, some are harder to replace, some have a plug and play kinda thing.
Edit: looks like I'm late to the party
Thanks, following 3rd option. Waiting for ssd to deliver.
Yes, caddy for internal use.
You'll need an enclosure to use it as an external drive, that's all.
Got the ssd, installed it, now installing os.
So, windows 10 is installed, now updating..bla bla things which is never ending.
Okay, so pc is working smooth, i can feel the difference.
Boot time is improved from 9.7 to 6.6 sec.
Disk usage problem solved.
One thing i noticed is my cpu is hitting 100% , matlab fatte ja rhi hai uski pta ni kyu.
Thanks everyone for guidance.
Pending task - to convert the internal hdd to external for backup and data transfer.
Okay, so ssd is installed, win 10 is instaled and everything is running very smooth, this is makhan i would say. Replacing the disk was easy (may be i have saved some bucks) and all Thanks to guys who came forwards at every step and guided me with your knowledge and experience. i owe you karma so here it is.

KP to @Ash-D
That's awesome.
More than saving money you learnt a lot I'm sure.
That knowledge is worth more
Also, once you go SSD, you can never go back
Amazon offers installation and demo at 200₹, is it worth ?
