Websites don't display convinience fee upfront, wasting our time. We feel cheated when, due to this, ticket becomes costlier than other websites.
I know, IRCTC air (https://www.air.irctc....n/) has lowest convinience fee (per person rs 59 including gst) although it charges 1.8% extra if payment is made by credit/debit cards (not on UPI/net banking).
Paytm charges 299 including gst.
Please tell from your experience about convinience fee chargeable at different portal. How much do different portals charge?

For irctc tickets use amazon for less convience fees. If you have hdfc credit card use smartbuy for 5+1% cashback or 5x reward points.
Mostly everyone charges in 250-300 range. I don't care about these much. Discounts vary by more percentage. Even 1% difference in discount would cover convenience fee difference.

Irctc air (for flights only, www.air.irctc...in) is different website than Irctc (for trains only, www.irctc...in). Not possible to use with amazon.

I don’t think so. If ticket cost is rs 5000 then 1% is just rs 50 while charges (except irtct air) are mostly bw rs 250-500.

I didn’t mean entire convinience fee, just difference in them. So, if one is charging 250 and another is 300. Difference is 50 only. I think only yatra charges in the range of 500. Otherwise all are within 50rs of each other.
Ease my trip has a coupon where convenience charges becomes 0 on flight ticket booking. I find skyscanner site (it is a site to search for same flight price across websites) better in searching the best deal.
