Returning the Non - Returnable item on Amazon - Tablet

Ordered the tab a7 and found it to be not good enough, my 5th gen Ipad is far superior in terms of quality and productivity, so I headed towards amazon cc only to find its non returnable item! have paid 16k for this sh*t and want to return it!! any workaround??

Samsung included a sub-par screen in Tab A7 (compared to S6 Lite) while the display quality is much better on RealMe pad and Lenovo M10 FHD Plus (2nd Gen)

Anyways.. there is no replacement option too?

If it is a 100 or 200 rupees item and you are value customer Amazon may refund without taking return of the item

but this is a huge purchase, can’t say if it will workout, but try to negotiate with customer care showing your position as a worthy and valuable customer who did good business for them and didn’t return items unless it is absolutely useless or not suitable for your purpose.

Yes replacement is there, but the tab itself isn’t good enough. The chat support sings the same song of it being non returnable product really pissed off..

In that case
Return option will be auto-enabled if you try to replace the tab twice. But don’t do it if your account has a history of returns/replacements over the past year or so (especially high valued electronics)

hey dude you should have to check the performance of the product at any mall or at the brand display store.
Trying to return an item just because it didn’t perform as per your expectations is not right and it’s a loss for the seller.

Because the seller won’t take return Amazon has to absorb the loss, so they entertain such things on small refunds only.

get the replacement.sell that sealed pack to some shop. they will give u same price as bill or even more if u know them.

Between I got call from agent regarding the same, though he said that the item is only eligible for replacement he initiated a return as I can see in the app, and it says “The amount will be refunded to the original payment source, once we receive the item”. Not sure whether its up for replacement or return! does the replacement description reads the same?

These support agents can initiate return/replacement even if the product is ineligible (You just need to convince them for the same, they can even skip the technician visit)
and based on the order status, the item is getting returned and refund will be processed soon

That doesn’t make any sense about Amazon absorbing the loss. Wouldn’t that mean sellers can get away with anything as long as item is non returnable

When there are quality issues that won’t be the case. They can go for the sellers neck but that is not the case here right.

Edit: I’m saying this out of experience, twice in the past once on Amazon and once on flipkart I personally didn’t like the product recieved some 250 rs product each. After convincing Amazon asked me to keep the delivered product as it is non-returnable but sent the product I wanted for free. Whereas Flipkart which also didn’t come to collect the product has issued a refund and asked me to keep the item or throw it away if I didn’t like.

I agree its unethical, I usually dont practice such things or return products after unboxing, incase i dont like I pass it on to other family member but this time I ordered this on behalf of my aunt and she being using my ipad expected the same quality and hence returning it coz she is quite unhappy (tried my best to convince her), U know aunty things, “kya mangaya ye, isse achha bla bla”…Now being a loyal customer for a such long cant I expect Amazon do me a favour this time? grinning

dont worry, seller must be cloudtail or appario… u r not looting a hard working desi seller, u r looting a foreign company

Thats the problem with all this offers coming in, people end up buying so much unwanted stuffs
Someone buys a phone latter feels it is small in hand, koi tablet buy kiya hai …God knows how much junks we are getting stuffed into our houses …

I was just furious when u termed the product as shit and how come one even try to compair this with ipad in there right senses ?

Its completely fine to return something you don’t like but our ecommerce websites got a messed up return/replacement policy (Free*) just to make it look good on paper
High time.. they bring back restocking fee (10-15% of the purchase price) for buyer’s remorse cases and free returns if the product is unopened (Just like US ecommerce portals)

Also.. both Appario retail & Cloudtail India sell renewed/refurbished items ( Most of them are unused returns*) @ 10% lesser price and there will always be buyers for popular brands/products. Not much loss for them either ( Its gonna be zero.. w/ restocking fee )

Buy all stock of same model from any useless id on COD, if no unit limit is set by amazon. Then you will get option of returning tablet. After return initiate, cancel COD orders.😁

Order replacement then cancel replacement then place order for return through customer care this method worked for me you can try it grinning

Obviously it’s your mistake for not checking return policy of the product. Realme pad was best option for the price you paid and it was selling for 14.5k this sale.
No compulsion on Amazon to do a favour but if you are persistent they will initiate return based on your purchase history but your account will be on watchlist for some time.
