So, I have been using Cred and have been paying all my card OS for past 2-3 years and never have I ever delayed any payment. Last 2 months, with Dhani, I started rotating funds, so my outstanding was part paid thru Dhani and part Cred.

To cut story short, my OS in SBI was 74800/- but by paying thru different services, by mistake, i have made payment of 74300/- Shortage of 500 bucks. I have been charged 3280/- as Fin fee + GST of around 620/- (Total of 4k for short payment of 500!). Any ways to get it reversed. Trying to raise dispute in website but at the last, not able to submit.

Anyone with experience of reversing the charges?

PS: Worried now about IDFC, as similarly divided and paid and I have doubt whether I have paid full :(

SBI Bank fee reversal policy is as follows -

First 6 months of card issuance (new card), no reversal.

After 6 months, Fee can be reversed on request of any statement within 6 months.

My card is more than 5 years, so there is chance of reversal?

How do I go about contacting them as not able to raise dispute in their site.

I always make extra payment to the higher rounded figure but since this was done thru two different services- I got the calculation wrong.

I was also charged Rs144 for this Rs103 dues; I paid

Call their cc and ask them to reverse the charges. They should be able to do it

Having analysed again, found that 499/- was renewal reversal, so what I paid tallies with my outstanding. Have mailed all the details and awaiting the response.

If I dont get response by Monday, will call them.

Congrats. I’m sorry, i didn’t notice your thread earlier. I got payment dishonor fee reversed by writing to cc mail. They are pretty liberal. The auto debit was triggered on an account without the balance needed, I paid by other means but still served dishonor fee due to lack of funds in savings account. Luckily they reversed the charges when I wrote after noticing it 2 months later.

Yes, SBI is very liberal or you can say customer friendly in reversing these charges. If the same issue happens with money suckers like Axis bank the end would have been quite different.

Sbi charge annual fee and if spend is above the requirement amount, they reverse the annual fee next month. However since we don’t track when the annual fee gets applied, this more or less ends up applying a finance charge because of Rs 499 to Rs 4,999 annual fee difference.

They have purposefully designed it in such a way that alot of people can get trapped in this, specially those who don’t use the card much, because then you will get finance fee charged first month and next month late payment fee + finance charge.

same happened with me.. currently escalation on the second level..

Reversal approval depends upon your card usage + card age + how many reversal requests are already approved including annual fee reversal
