My cousin recently got his first credit card which is Kotak League Platinum credit card. The product details page is very vague about the reward rate. I know the reward rate would not be that good, but if anyone has this card, please share the details on base reward rate, reward rate on online txns etc. Thank you

Cool. 4 PVR tickets might be worth more than 10k points if converted to ₹1k cashback

Kotak cards have very bad reward rates.

Now whatever points u earn in your credit card u need to convert the same to KR ( Kotak Rewards Points )

Conversion ratio for league platinum  = 40 KR Points for every 100 points .

These KR points can be used for buying vouchers 100 KR points = 25 rs GV

Lets assume a case

Kotak League Platinum = 400 points per 10000 ( excluding special category which will be 2x normal rates)

Conversion to KR ( 400 / 100 *40 ) = 160 KR points

Conversion of KR into Cash ( 160 KR /100 * 25 ) = Rs. 40

Hence your reward rate on normal and twice in case of special categories = 0.4 % .

Do i recommend Kotak Cards : Simple Answe is Yes do not close the card unless u have Annual Fees

Reason : They are the best in providing Credit Limit Enhancement even if u do not even use their cards . I have found it to be even better than HDFC . Simple example in March End my CC Limit was increased to 8 lacs . 2 months later they have again increased it to 9.4 lacs. Though this time its been exceptional just in 2 months 2 Credit Limit Increase but you can easily expect to get Credit Limit Increases every 6 months even if u have 0 activity in this card . This will ensure you can get some very high end cards like ( Standard Chartered Ultimate ) in a few years or maybe apply for C2C which will give u better Credit Limits as salary based limits are generally low  on an average around 2 months of ur monthly salary
