Not sure but Also heard that the 3 BMW’s reportedly gifted by him to 2016 Olympic players were sponsored by company as he was their brand ambassador.

These guys just present these costly gifts it's the brands always who sponser/pay for them.
Even the Ferrari given to Sachin which is wildly said as gifted by Schumacher was sponsered/paid by FIAT (who owns Ferrari) & he was brand ambassador of Fiat India later they even offered to pay the import taxes after the controversy.

Few years back he tweeted and instigated his fans against British Airways because they misplaced his luggage and the legend was unhappy of their response.
After few hours he tweeted back thanking his fans saying his luggage was found.

He’s cunning. And most importantly he still has massive sheep following so all politicians across every party will safeguard him.
And most importantly, 99% of politicians across the world throw mud at each other in front of public but behind the scenes they’re chummies.
I’ve seen this with my own eyes on two politicians from different parties… Throwing the dirtiest of abuses at each other during election campaigns but behaving like best friends at our boss’s son’s wedding and again on another event.
