Not a good plan to invest in crypto with current regulations. You have to pay 30% tax on earnings irrespective of INR sale. I mean if you swap your existing digital assest to any other, you have to pay 30% on gains.

No option to offset your losses. By any chance if you are able to make profits, you are earning it for govt, not to your family.

Investing in foreign companies is allowed though, at lower taxes liabilities.

There ARE products (in the foreign markets at-least) which can be used as shadow investments in such things.

Also, the legalities, regulation apart.. peer to peer direct exchanges are always possible.
