I have recently taken a SBI BPCL Octane Card considering my fuel usage. But surprisingly even if I fill at BPCL petrol pumps i am not receiving the 25x rewards and 1% surcharge. When raised with SBI customer care, they are closing the request saying that petrol pump is not a BPCL one. Has any one faced this issue before and how was it sorted. Is there any specific list of pumps we have to fill in to get the benefits.
This 1500+GST fee per year card is of no use to me if they are not honouring the petrol pump rewards offer.

What Description shows in transaction history like some random Name or petrol pump name ?
It’s showing the name of the enterprise.not showing like BPCL/HPCL kind of
Points only get credited properly if petrol pump swipes on SBI machine.
In how many days points get credited after CC swipe on HPCL pump with SBI BPCL Rupay variant ?
Filled fuel worth 4000 today morning .
Edit : Fueled at BPCL Pump. (Not HPCL)
SBI BPCL CC rewards cashback valid only on BPCL petrol pump not HPCL.
Check the sbi card website for the eligible petrol pump list. Not all BPCL pumps provide the cb.

all bpcl pumps are eligible but the catch is not all pos availabe on that pumps are eligible,, i am sure about pinelabs pos is eligible not sure about others…
next time try a bpcl fuel station and then wait 1-2 days when trasaction settled check you got rewards points correctly, if ok then always fill from that pump or you can try other pumps and check them..
very imprtant – points credited only after that transaction settled and surcharge is only for transaction above 400-500 and also surcharge value is also limited everymonth(check according to your card on website)
Do we get the 6000 reward points on this card annually after renewing the card? Or is this only for first year?
Only first year.. after that fee is waived if annual spend is 2L or above
I talked to sbi CC and they confirmed me that points can be earned for refuelling at any bpcl outlet only redemption can be done at selected outlets given in pdf.
Just a FYI:
I have used the card at multiple BPCL outlets across states and cities and i never had an issue with points and surcharge credit regardless of the bank POS machine used. I didnt even pay attention to which bank machine was used recently as its tap and pay and i don't need the machine to face me to enter the PIN. Transactions for were in range of 2.5k couple of years back which has increased to 3.4k because of fuel prices.
However redemption was done at a single outlet where i noticed they have a Pinelabs POS machine.
If we fill Rs 500 petrol how much points we are supposed to get ?
I am not getting points for most of my BPCL txns , is there any way to change SBI BPCL rupay to visa / mastercard variant? any charges for that.
Has anyone tried bharat gas bill payment on bharat gas website as mentioned in sbi site and got 25x reward points?
You would have fuel card swipe receipt right? Use that to complain
