I am creating this thread to discuss on limit provided on SBI Cashback CC. There were few comments on existing threads regarding low limit given by SBI but I was finding it difficult to gather all relevant comments.
My story : After waiting for so long, I finally received 2nd verification call 2 days back and the card was issued. However, I was surprised to see that they provided me a limit of just 20k !!
I am salaried and hold SBI prime card since almost 4 years and the current limit is 1.5 lakh. Recently Kotak and HDFC issued card to me with a limit of 2 lakh.
This 20k limit is way too less to use the card efficiently.
Share your card limit, existing relationship and salaried/self employed status to help us understand the logic.
Applied online on Sept 8th. Instant approval online. No documents, verification etc. Self employed. Decent ITR but not requested. No prior relationship with SBI. Virtual card provided instantly. I used it right away. Credit limit was a little low at 2.49 lakhs.
For new cards credit limit is average limit as per existing credit reports..
For existing it will be 10-20K. Get your limit transfered from one card to other.
i got 3,00,000 limit and at the time of application there was an option to share any existing card number for faster processing. I shared the kotak cc with 2.5 lakh limit.

Seems you are correct.
They are giving less limit if we have existing sbi card by calculating risk per customer and not by risk per card.
How to transfer limit ? Has anyone done here recently ?
Mine is a pretty high 4.81L

Sbi executives are not technically sounded just they are fill details and sell it to scammers, they even don't know virtual card

Bhai. No way. Friend applied on 16th, not via Sprint route. Then adhaar guy came. Friend retrieved the application on Sprint n tried to proceed. He got some error. After it his application number could not be tracked. Then he got call from cc n gurgaon n his application was not being able to be tracked. Suddenly two days ago he got a message in WhatsApp from SBI cards. Today he is about to get his card. Till this date, his application ID could be tracked neither by website nor by cc, including Twitter support. 😁 Very funny, sbi.

I am getting spam messages right after applying this sbi cashback credit card, are the sbi executives selling the data or the sbi itself not sure.
If they don't have card with 5% cashback, I would never apply sbi credit card

Since almost 5+ years I am using SimplyClick with 5.80L Limit, Got a call after applying SBI Cashback to choose limit split between both cards. I told them to keep 40K in simplyclick and transfer rest all to new Cashback card. So my card arrived with 5.40L limit. I am spending full 2L each month to get 10k cashback since then.. card blocking/unblocking is routin process with this card.
My card limit is 70k if i use 70k and pay 70k back and again use will they block my card permanently for over using?.Is there any soecific limit i should not cross?
Anyone was able to get the credit limit transferred from another existing SBI Card to Cashback Card ? I got a paltry 20k limit
