I had applied for SBI cashback card and received the virtual card immediately.

Upon, receiving the virtual card details, I had saved the same on Amazon card.

Yesterday late night, I made a purchase on amazon and used SBI card. I was too lazy to get my card details and see the actual CVV number so I tried recalling the cvv and typed 3 digit number and the transaction was successful. The item from the order also got delivered today.

Today, I checked the cvv and to my suprise the actual cvv is completely different.

I tried purchasing again using correct cvv -> Success

I tried purchaing with the same cvv which I used yesterday night -> once it was unsuccessful but the other time its successful.

I am clueless on what's happeneing here.

I had saved correct cvv received from virual card in my amazon account but now the paymeny is sometimes working even with incorrect cvv.

That's Default Status.

After OTP page most time txn marked as success but after 20 mins final payment status received and then order updated accordingly.

Was your card saved in Amazon?
And was the amount less than 2000?

Same doubt. Yesterday done a successful transaction with wrongly entered cvv in my Amazon card.

If this is true it's a huge security flaw.
