Why are you giving him wrong advise. Since it is already rejected he has to wait for 90 days. Other wise he will have two hard enquiry on his CIBIL.

Hi, the problem is the application denied just after filling the address. No CIBIL check. Haven't passed the second step to fill income, it just stopped in 1st step. sad

I am not giving him wrong advice. What can be lost if he visits the nearest branch to consult with an SBI cards agent  for further information?

I contacted the sbi card support and they said, credit card facility is not available in my rural area pincode. However, there are options for offline branch as a year ago, they called my brother for getting a cc because of his eligibility, however no confirmed approval was given at that time.

Applied simplyclick locally on fd based as they were not aware with any cashback card, approved after 10days.

Unless your fd amt is good(say 40-50k+) & your spend pattern decent you won't get much help in getting a pre-approved offer from sbi. Also, forget about sbi cashback card as that card isn't getting approved even for existing sbi cc holders with 1-2 lakh+ limit & by the time it becomes easier to get it will have been seriously devalued just like simplyclick card so not much point in taking it at that time.

I have 25k FD, and keeping money in your sbi account help, not the fd account as i think. I have a sbi account but i live in rural area. I will actively use the account now and hopefully i will able to grab a new card without an fd. Yes it will get devalued but i mainly use it for 10% instant discounts in sales. I already have Amazon Pay cc, icici cc, hdfc millenia and fk axis and now sbi simplyclick.

You can get sbi irctc rupay card with annual fee of 300+gst & annual fee waiver on spend of 50k, a much better option if aim is to only use during sbi card sale & it also gets approved easier compared to 500+gst starting range of sbi credit cards.

I think 10% instant discount will work, (sale ended) but you will not get 5% cashback from sbi itself.

Where does it say annual fee waiver on 50k spends?

I just checked & it is indeed not there, I guess it was a limited time offer which I remembered(issuance & renewal fee was also waived off for 2-3 years in another offer in 2020).
