Hello guys, this is very serious point I am posting here.
Recently I had applied for tata credit card and got in a week.
To my surprise the day I received the card, I got a call from number +918586925694 , a girl claiming to represent SBI credit card.
She said you must have received your card now but it is deactivated state. You have to get it activated and I will help you on that.
I said ok , as soon as she asked me my card 16 digit number, I immediately got alerted that this is going to be a fraud. I asked her this is not right to give full card details and I can give last 4 digit, she said I am not asking any pin or something confidential.
I did not say anything to her. Suddenly she told me give me the 3 digit number appears back on the card. I got 100 % confident then it’s a serious fraud. I gave her wrong cvv, she tried multiple times and told me this is not right, can you confirm again. Later I abuse her so much that she hanged up the phone.
My biggest surprise was she knows my date of birth but how could she know my card expiry date.
I mailed SBI credit card help mail I’d pointing serious leak in their system.
Just wanted to alert you guys.

Nothing shocking here. After getting my SBI CC, I got calls for personal loan offers incessantly for 1 week. Nothing as serious like yours tho.
Most shocking is she knows my card expiry. I presume it can’t be Guess
I got call regarding some card protection offers from Sbi after card approved. But I rejected that offer
Most card issuer do this but once you reject no one spams or try to scam
Previously also I read about some upi issue, that also from same sbi

card expiry for Sbi card is 5 years from date of issue.
so if you applied in January 21
than its 01/26

Do definitely something wrong with SBI cc people.
one another thing as soon as I applied for sbi card, I was getting more spam and bank related calls. I think, they are leaking our data.
Same happened with me also, tell every thing to her later she just begging for otp and for that otp I wasted her 15 min and later she just cut the call.
I would have done the same thing. Waste her time.
card expiry is no difficult to guess. as most of bank provide fix years of validity from issuance date. but i am glad u posted ur experience to make people aware.

Even i am receiving calls from these fruadesters every now and then asking for my SBI CC card details to claim REWARD points. They knew my name, dob and PAN number also.
I made a online cyber crime complaint also. But ultimately it received my local police station (village) and they had no clue and finally closed the case saying victim didn’t loose money.
This is not new it happens when your new SBI card is delivered in most cases they ask only last six digits, and after that they tell you expiry date and full card number and then they ask CVV and otp to “Activate” the card as as you give them otp and transaction successful these girls start dancing and get a hard fxxx from their masters for that night
When they called me I told them the deal if they can give me a night I can give them my cvv

If any one get call like this tell them you are getting card from pocket so keeping you on hold n call 100 or cyber cell give details of income call number to cyber cell and tell then taking in conference to cyber call
Few days before i received my paytm sbi card, i have set up application and disable international transactions. After 3-4 days i got message that Trxn. of Rs.1.00 on your SBI Card ending XXXX at GOOGLE *TEMPORARY HOLD on 21-01-21 was declined as International Online usage is not activated on your credit card. To activate, SMS ECOMI 0368 to 5676791
Card expiry date is based on issuance date. If someone knows you received card recently they know the expiry date.
Same thing happened to me , applied for SBI card and the moment it came these fraud calls started . Also calls from HSBC and rbl saying you have pre approved offer , dunno if the later is genuine
I had it traced by a friend of mine 2 of the calls were made from UP and 1 from Delhi . All of them were Female.
Sim cards used for these calls are of old illiterate people whose identity was stolen. Had to drop it since it was a dead end
Previously I owned HDFC AXIS no spam calls for the past 5 years . The cell no I use for the cc is completely private .
So yes SBI employee or servers are getting breached
SBI cards uses third party call center services. They know, each and every thing about the card except the CVV.
When you receive a call, claiming that from SBI, your mind should automatically be tuned to say “NO”.
All options are available in the SBI cards app/website. You dont need any one to explain about the offers.
Thanks for thread; have just recently applied for SBI IRCTC RuPay Platinum CC, have got a couple of calls, but so far all were for verification only; hoping to get the card approved soon 
Today again got a fraud call from another number, asking for rewards points redeemption.

Now I am sure the people who got my documents ime. SBI card representative, they have only given these details cause this time that girl told me my location also
Guys, I have applied for SBI card, still not yet approved though; got some 5-6 verifications calls (+1 physical address verification) till now 
All are asking hell lot of details to verify (mostly name, dob, address, job, Id details; NO card details since I haven’t got 
); I am not getting if they are genuine or fake (hard to tell), but since only these details are getting asked I am telling them (just skeptical about giving away the Id details)…
Is this common for SBI to do this much verification ? any suggestions ?
It’s common. Not sure why the physical verification took place. It is not mandatory now.
But I am sure the say you get your card you will get some many fraud calls either to activate the card or credit rewards points
