Today credit card agents call me to upgrade my credit card with a limit increase and he asked me sbi card app code to check the CIBIL score and offer in my account so i gave him code But he implemented the card upgrade without my consent and I immediately received the application number So i didn’t send him the docs for further processing.

I have some questions and doubts.Need help and suggestions.I would be very grateful.Thanks in advance to those dimers.

1.will it affect my cibil score?
2.How to cancel that application, i don’t want upgrade (Sbi BPCL)?
3.I gave him app code, is it ok?


Currently i am using sbi simplyclick. This is my 1st discussion sweat_smile

Never been in such a situation
Call bank support and ask for request cancellation (Give them the Application no)

Send a mail or call customer care and tell them you do not want to upgrade the credit card and cancel the upgrade request. They will take the request and cancel it. Do remember to take the request number.

Send them mail..they will cancelled it..or tell them on verification call.they will surely cancelled it.I have faced same issue earlier.

1- yes it will get an hard enquiry on cibil
2- call customer care and tell them u don’t want to change variant
3- it’s fine Givin code to agent
Without that system doesn’t allow to go ahead to process card application
As that reflects well consent of customer regarding application
U can later not deny u haven’t applied

How is bpcl upgraded version of simply click ? I have bpcl and it has no Rewards like the travel voucher simply click gives

Call customer care and place request for upgrade to simplyClick.
simplyClick is simply the best

Don’t fall on these type of tricks. Most of the time they will charge you high fee with new card. You should be careful. There might be joinging fee, one time fee, annual fee, etc. You should aware that, even if you are paying 500 as annual fee for your current card, it won’t be same for new card.

Contact the customer care and stop it right away.

It happened the same to me once in Central, SBI agent used all nice words Upgrade, 20X points for all txns, limit enhancement.
Later when I received call from SBI verification team, got to know that a new application for SBI Central card is been applied on my name and not an upgrade for my existing Simply Click. I simply rejected the new application with verification team and the application was cancelled immediately. From then onwards, any SBI agent comes towards me in any public place, I’ll not even listen to what they’ll say, I’ll simply walk off.
