Hi Dimers,
After Using SBI cashback card for about ten months, just Received a call from +918062638900 (Suspected Spam as per TrueCaller, but note that spam !== scam) offering LE from 97k to 1.55k, likely triggered due to recent mobile purchase of 73k.
He connected to IVRS which said i had to press 1 to give My consent for the SBI limit enhancement Process and i did it.
Post that, For verification that I am the Card owner, he Demanded that I tell him my zipcode and DOB (then he said atleast tell YOB which should be enough). This raised a flag and He gave up and i asked him to send me any kind of official notif via e-mail / SMS/ app notif first and call me again so i can confirm the legitimacy and give him the requested details.
Even during the call, I believe i was overthinking it and that it is a legit call. While i dont want to divulge info unnecessarily, i could use that LE.
Is this the usual LE process for SBI? Do you think i should give these details if i get the call again (without the email notif that i asked).
Thanks for suggestions

ICICI agent asked me to share card number front side that has highest limit to offer Platinum ICICI credit card but not CVV. Also CC statement. The agent was saying no problem share the pic and remove password for statement. I said it is a problem for me I won't do that. She said okay and disconnected the call.
If any such call comes tell them thank you be it genuine or not. If its genuine the Limit offer will be available on bank website or app.
Why to overcomplicate when there is nothing to lose and IVR is not the only way even when it is genuine.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I just received an SMS from a short code sender, asking to request LE via SMS. Checked SBI Card app now and was able to verify and get the LE instantly via app itself.
YOB was asked from Indus bank agent said she will upgrade my card to Legend and only need YOB. I said I was not interested.
It's a 200% scam bro. I faced the same situation when I first got my SBI card. Scammer called and offered limit enhancement and connected me with an IVR call which asked my CVV. He asked for the card pic and I sent hiding the middle numbers but he said he needs the full number visible. For CVV, he said it's the RBI rule Finally received an OTP for 90k transaction merchant named PAYU Payments Pvt ltd. So don't fall for these scams. If u have a limit increase it'll be visible on the app or directly write to SBI customer care.
