Hello All,

Have heard from few that SBI have put a monthly cap on the reward earning rate.
One is saying that 6000 is the max RP from standing instructions in 1 month.
another is saying that the total RP in one month can be max 7500.

yet to call the customer care for this. Anybody here have any update on this?

If any of the above two cases is true, this will be highly disappointing from SBI.

Finally got with them on call, here is the capping structure on SBI PRIME:
Category 1 – in this you get 2RP/100 Rs —> No capping
Category 2 – here are the subcategories
1. dining
2. departmental stores
3. groceries
4. movies
In these, you have capping of 7500RP per month. Category 2 is for all those transactions where you earn 10RP/100Rs
Category 3: All standing instructions, where you get 20RP/100rs → No cap.

SBI prime has discontinued RedGiraffe for rent payment. Any other alternative for Max cashback for rent payment ?

For Redgiraffe payments, SCB Ultimate gives 3.3% reward rate, it is not too bad. After this major devaluation (removal of Red Giraffe and points cap) , there is no point in holding SBI Prime.

Once you login though the net banking of SCB, you see a “Pay your Bills” link. From there you can see the rent option to pay.

@Bhalla_here This time it’s not upgrade, now it’s complete degradation of Prime Card.

And now I am optimistic that SBI will not degrade Simply Click.

I am planning to apply for the SC ultimate card, just need some clarification. I would appreciate if someone having card can help with it:
1. Do we get reward points for wallet transactions like PayZapp, PayTM, Amazon cashload etc?
2. Can the reward points be redeemed against the statement credit?
3. Has anyone availed golf lessons? Do we need to buy our own club set or is that provided by trainers during session ?

1. Yes, we get reward points for all wallet transactions
2. No statement credit option. Redemption options are gift vouchers. Amazon is rarely available.
3. No idea stuck_out_tongue

You get 5000 points on renewal equivalent to 5K. We need to shell out GST though. Effective fees is 900.
