SBI Cards users breakup :
1. Those who convert txn into EMI & pay 18% or whatever interest
2. Those who revolve & pay 38% interest
3. Those who pay on time

Dimers must be 3rd always but Card Issuers thrive on 1st & 2nd for survival
Covid19 has impacted SBI & other card spending badly
And now they don’t want people to spend online via wallets too by restricting reward points

True. When I was studying detail report of cc industry at the time of sbi card ipo, i was shocked to know that only around 33% (Don’t remember exact figure) people are in category 3 !!!

As long as we are in category 3, enjoy freebies at the cost of 1 & 2 !!!

& No wonder cc industry has one of the highest NIM !!!

OMG🥺 I’m rotating 10k every month from my HDFC Rupay Debit Card to PayTM Payments Bank A/c in the hope of getting Pre-Approved Credit Card offer. In HDFC statement it’s showing as POS Paytm Noida. So they are easily tracking my load money transactions.
Now my 3 months HARDWORK is a joke 😭😭😭

Interesting. But rotating from debit card in any which way – Not sure if it can help in getting CC offer etc!!

Yes bank still providing reward on wallet load .

I mostly use wallet load to pay at small shops & now I am thinking of getting sbi simplysave card which gives 2.5% worth reward points for all offline transactions but that means limiting my offline grocery spends to shops with card readers.
