SBI SimplyClick Credit Card Reward Points Now Silently Devalue:
Previously, It was 2000 points for 500 Amazon gift voucher.
Now today It's showing 2500 points for 500.
Now the cashback rate came down to 1% from 1.25% earlier.

Can we transfer the limit of this card to other SBI card before closing?
some1anywhere wrote:WTF WTF! Thanks for the warning. I will definitely close it before 3rd year begins (so they reverse charges like they did for 2nd year or make it LTF)
Are there rules by RBI to prevent sudden de-valuation without any advance announcement? 1.25% came down to 1% (5X) and 2.5% (10X) merchants reward rate came down to 2%.
Also 'redeem' is spelled 'reedem'. English bhi nahin aati SBI gawaron ko.
Unpopular fact. Majority of Indian population live in villages. Calling uneducated people as gawars is a very demeaning thing to do. Village translates to Hindi as Gaw and village dwellers are known as gawar.

If you take the the word Gawaar by its literal meaning, it means a person from a village (गाँव=village). But Google gives the English translation of the word 'गवार' as uneducated. It doesn't say "person from a village."
So another sense in which this word is used is specifically for educated people from any background (village or city) who are incompetent despite being educated or qualified. In that case, it does not matter if they are from a village or a city.
When used this way, it has nothing to do with villages or villagers. You are misinterpreting that.
Besides, I did not call all uneducated people or any people from villages as gawars. I called specifically the people in the SBI cards organization as uneducated.
P.S. I have nothing against anyone from a village, that person may be most intelligent and competent regardless of whether he/she is educated or uneducated.

If we are going to find meaning of a word in Urban Dictionary then such results come. For example Paryusan dates are given wrong. Actually to defend urban area superiority some morons have mistranslated the word Gawar. People should never forget their origins. Most of our forefathers were/are gawars only.

Call cc and ask them to cancel card. They should reverse the annual fee after payment, else if you still plan to cancel no charges should be applied. Confirm with them and decide

Applaud the effort to provide a translation.
You can call up customer care, ask to switch to simplysave. You can only switch between simply Click and simply Save easily. Unless you have a high value relationship with sbi.

You should call up customer care and ask for it. No harm in trying. If they are ready to give you premium cards, Etihad is not that big of a stretch.
