Summer- Season of Ice Cream is finally here.

The history of Ice Cream dates back to 500 BC, to the Persians. Who knew, a desert surrounded place will find a secret recipe that will heal/touch/break so many hearts! What's done is done. It is our time and it is munch time.

India has access to a lot of Ice Cream companies and brands. e.g. Amul, Kwality Walls, Mother's Diary, Havmor(1944), Vadilal(1907), Cream Bell, Baskin Robbins, Cream and Fudge, Dinshaw's(1932), NIC, Narula, Naturals etc.

Controversy

There has been an ongoing controversy between Frozen Desserts and milk based ice cream. I have just one question

Is 16/17gm of added sugar/ 100ml justified? In case of Kawlity Wall's trixy there is 20.9 gm of added sugar Trixy.

So, let's not go into that debate of who does it better! In my opinion everything is ok if consumed in moderation. Even fruit juice is unhealthy because it lacks fiber and contains more fruit than one should consume hence it is rich in sugar content.

Ice Cream Alternatives

  • Sorbet
  • Chilled Fruit
  • Chilled Custard
  • Chilled Porridge
  • Ice Lolly

Infact as per me anything frozen, sweet thing available is ice cream.

    Warning.

Icecream   and  Frozen Dessert with icecream pictures  is different.

Icecream  is made of milk and that only can legally  be called icecream.

Frozen dessert has Palm Oil in it and that's  why as per rules icecreams cannot be written on its packet .

Kwality walls is mostly frozen dessert  i think
