Hi all,
has anyone obtained a certificate for himself/dependent for disability to claim IT deduction?…can you please help with information on how to abtain this certificate from govt hospital and what things are required?…mine is the case of hearing impairment for dependent

its for physical disabilities thats more than 60%

They will ask bribe definitely.
To claim deduction first it should be cover under specified disease mentioned. If it is covered then go to government hospital and contact respect doctor
& definitely issue certificate.

Important point : Do not claim the deduction without certificate and certificate DATE also very important
If u taken certificate date eg:1-1-20 you r eligible to claim the deduction for FY-19-20.

Tip: actual expenditure incurred is not relevant and u can claim the deduction 75000 or 125000 (if it is severe disability-it means last stage of disease)

do we need to get the form 10IA also filled?
yes i will know ..i van vlaim 75k or 1.25lk directly without receipts

For 80DDB now government doctor’s certificate & 1other form which was required earlier is no longer needed if treatment is done in private hospital. Certificate can be taken from private doctor also…

its for 80dd…disable dependent…. read on fee websites tgat form 10IA is required…can u plz confirm
