Security on Amazon international sites

I just logged into my account on amazon.ca and made a purchase which did not require any CVV or OTP. Though it’s not my first purchase, I never thought deeply about it. It is so easy for anybody who knows your Amazon account password to log into your account and buy anything from Amazon international sites without your knowledge and permission. Isn’t it very insecure ?

Turn off international usage through your ICICI account for this card

..and it’s been more than an hour and I still haven’t received any message from the bank for the amount debited. I had used Amazon ICICI card
