Hey Dimers,

Hope you are doing well!

I just see in Form 26AS – SFT-005 transaction entry saying “Purchase of Time Deposit” for a relative (Retired). I see its for greater than 10L (Auto sweep from savings account)

Wanted to ask as to how to show that while filing ITR? What all to consider (Screenshot attached for reference)

Also which ITR should we be filing since he is retired & earns pension. Kindly help!! TIA!

nothing to be done 

juat make sure you declare all the interests of that FD.

(it’s just govt rule that bank have to report High value FD to 26as).

I do not see the interest for that auto sweep in AIS/ TIS/ Deposit certi from SBI


I see other term deposit & savings interest but nothing of the value I mentioned in screenshot @Sudarshan61 @bohemian


What to report then? Also how to find the interest amount coming out of that Auto sweep in SBI?

its just reporting. No worries. Declare all interest in ITR . file ITR 1 if no business /stock/ or Capital gain income from property

Calculate interest manually using statement that u made the year, just report in other income

nothing else to do, if you dont also, it wont matter much
