As an insider can share that packing is reduced intentionally to redue carbon foot print and unnecessarily waste.
Some 3rd party companies handle amazon process too and they make most of the mess for customers and Amazon both
Any else noticing the change in experience now?
Hoping it does not take the Scamkart route of lame charges, scams, trash support & more

As of now my exp is still good with Amazon. Recently ordered two items but received only one. Complained to Amazon chat and they immediately refunded me the amount worth Rs. 2000 without even asking for photos.
no issue maybe a tier 2 city
sometimes some things happen
That would be an exaggeration. I think all of it is an expected outcome of cutting costs to ensure that the India unit is on the road to profitability. You can't be pouring profits earned from your US operations year after year into your loss-making India operations without a path to break even and make money.
Maybe the good employees left or are bored of doing the same job everyday.
For me it's completely different
I ordered 12 qnty of medicine
They send 3 parcel each parcel with 1 quantity
For a small medicine they done wrap like if fallen from aeroplane also nothing would happen to it
I was having a chat with amazon cc yesterday and was amused to see some great english 😄
Bro learn English 😂
Unlike others, I haven't faced any issues. Only one time I received an item without packaging (but had no damage). In fact, I'd prefer items without unnecessary paper/plastic packaging which affect the environment (as long as it doesn't damage the product). But yeah, had to get in touch with customer care only a few times over the last few years, and they were not smooth.
I called amazon customer service for a issue, and asked him to register a complaint. He said he did.
Then a week after I called again, they said that no complaint has been registered earlier. So I asked this new guy to register a complaint now. He also said he did and I will receive an email.
I did not receive any update till 2 weeks.
Then registered a complaint with RBI Ombudsman( since the issue was related to Amazon Pay) and they immediately resolved it over the first call itself
Similar experience bro, they say they have raised complaint and give u so much reassurance but they r just fooling u and no complaint is raised
They have now 3rd party CC, 3rd party delivery service and they perfectly work in silos. So better avoid fk&az unless it is very tempting offer. They are in fact what you said

What I usually do is wait on call till I receive SMS/Email confirmation. Also make it clear that 'Do NOT disconnect the call'. This worked for me 😄.
Reading through various, not so good, experiences with Amazon, I'm careful while placing any order.
Else u can ask them to share complaint number and note it down,if ur mobile having call recording then no need to write also.
